The shite American consumers have to put up with for green energy mandates. All this to avoid relying on American energy, American labor, and American jobs.....

Electric car batteries tied to forced labor in China: report
LINK
As many environmentalists push for a quick transition to electric vehicles and clean energy, increasing ties have been found between the origin of the batteries needed to power the technology and forced labor in Chinese work camps.

According to the New York Times, while China produces 75 percent of the world's lithium ion batteries, much of the raw material is mined elsewhere. In recent years, however, the Chinese government has set their sights on controlling all aspects of the supply chain.
In order to compete with other countries, China has ramped up production in the western province of Xinjiang, home to the nation's Uyghur Muslim minority.

Aren’t all factories and mines in China slave labor camps?

Isn't it safe to assume that pretty much anything that comes from China was made with "forced labor"?

Okay….whats the issue?

No one is pushing transitioning cell phones and laptops to electric to "save the planet." The problem is folks that think charging said car with petroleum and coal produced energy will somehow save the planet from certain CO2 death. Its funny how they hold their nose up in the air of their slave labor powered car. They incorrectly feel a moral superiority. Truth is, CO2 has never killed the planet, and won't anytime in the next few thousand/million years. Unless we have some crazy volcanic or similar activity. You'd have to have an exponential increase to threaten mammals. Think inverse log relationship between atmospheric CO2 concentration and forced global warming.
Let your retard friend know that cars work perfectly fine and efficiently on gasoline, quite unlike his iPad. For the record, this was posted from a desktop powered by the Riverbend Nuclear plant. Real green energy.

As a staunchly communist nation, China is in the process of eliminating religion as an effective social force. Their treatment of the Uyghurs is in line with their attitude towards religion in general, it’s a negative influence upon society.
Only 3% of the dominant Han ethnicity in China regard religion as an important influence in their lives. They will force the Uyghurs and any other religious groups to “lose their religion” or face slavery and even death as a consequence.
Muslims typically hold martyrs in high regard. The Xinjiang province has a plethora of martyrs.

Nothing but western imperialist propaganda. We must all embrace Xi Jinping Thought and his Common Prosperity.

The CCP will not be happy with you shedding light on their ongoing slave-based operations.

Saving the planet or sacrificing slave labor to get the batteries to attempt to save the planet
A real Sophie’s choice

Pushing an issue really doesn't have anything to do with it when EVERYTHING that comes from China is made by forced labor.
