Quiet Riot - Mental Health

When it was recorded, it included 50% of the (at the time) members of the RHCP - Flea and Navarro.
And wasn’t her drummer that awesome Foo Fighters guy Taylor , that died recently? That would have been a great lineup

I always hear that as a reworked version of Genesis' "No Reply at All". Maybe it was the horns?
I would have to Wiki it to be sure but I think it would be the other way around. I think Face Value came out before Abacab. Both albums came out within six to twelve months of each other.

Taylor Hawkins didn't play on the album although he is in a few of the videos from the album. He was her drummer on tour. Matt Laug played drums on You Oughta Know.
Benmont Tench from The Heartbreakers played organ on many of Alanis's recordings including You Oughta Know.

Somebody Told Me was their debut single, and I’d argue that song is better than Mr Brightside
Mr. Brightside was released first in September 2003. Then Somebody Told Me in March 2004.
Then they did re-release Mr. Brightside, to be fair.
I think Mr. Brightside is their best song, but I wouldn't argue about Somebody Told Me either.

Also, "Pony" by Ginuwine is an obvious answer since other solo artists like Alanis have been mentioned.

RDLTN was recorded in 73, and released in 74 on Steely Dan's third album (Pretzel Logic). It was their sixth single.

Right. Their first single isn't a song many here have even heard of.

I think if you played the single, Dallas, most would not even recognize that it is Steely Dan. It's kind of country rock, better suited for Poco who covered it a few years later. SD's second, third and fifth singles, however, are classic rock radio standards: Do It Again, Reelin' In The Years and My Old School. Show Biz Kids doesn't seem to get as much airplay.

It's so easy and Mr brownstone were released before Welcome to the Jungle
Wiki says that is correct, but WTJ was their first video on MTV.
I don't know if it was the first airing, but I recall the first time I saw WTJ on Headbanger's Ball, and it blew me away. I don't think any other video ever made such a first impression on me. Could not wait to see/hear it again.
