Perhaps not. Reread the article.

The front of that turret makes a hell of a shot trap.

Very true. The irony of it is the Germans rejected the “Porsche” turret on the Königstiger for this very reason.

They rejected this version…

And went with this version…

Because of the shot trap at that front of the turret.

Tanks are cool and all, but if the Ukraine fiasco has taught the world anything, it's that tanks need air superiority and plenty of troop support to be effective.

For self-protection, the Panther has a three-layer system: an active layer to protect from anti-tank missiles and kinetic energy threats; a reactive layer to neutralize double shaped charge rounds that may get through; and finally a passive layer to stop any remaining elements. There is also a top attack protection system.

Lol no kidding. But until the day the Germans start handing out real iron crosses again, they’re probably safe.

The last 3 months have showed me tanks don’t have the advantage they did even 10 years ago. What If someone can take out a tank from above with a drone in Ukraine or the drone can send in the location to people who can then drop artillery on the tanks from miles away.

What am I saying? With Marxism in the States, maybe we can get the Germans over here to invade and help us finally defeat Marxism

They have it just as bad there if not worse. The main hub of this is Switzerland where all the central bankers are

After a vertical take-off, which eliminated the need for airfields, most of the flight to the Allied bombers was to be controlled by an autopilot.

The flaw in the design was "Otto", the autopilot.

The Russian tanks for example are so vulnerable to the Javelin and other top down munitions because even their best deployed APS has very limited capability on the top of the tank. I have a funny feeling Rheinmetall definitely took this into account.

This is an arse the the dark guess but:

1) Aesthetics

2) contains pneumatic pistons to absorb recoil without taking up valuable turret space.
