I really enjoyed this Showtime series. I know it is old news but I was unaware and able to binge as I saw fit. 8 seasons, 12 shows each. Lot of good material for someone looking for something to watch.

Also: Claire Danes

She is sexy as hell when dolled up, and girl-next-door in everyday wear. I like. Would definitely stick it in that particular version of crazy (as would most spooks apparently).

I loved Homeland. Top 5 for me but I love CIA, corruption spy shite.... I need to do a rewatch soon. It's been long enough that I'm sure I've forgotten most of it.

I really liked the show early on. Claire's mental stuff and the faces she made got old after a while to me though.

The daughter is right up there with Walt’s wife as worst characters of all time.

Never watched it but I remember the hype after Season 1 was nuts, it’s was bigger than Breaking Bad & Game of Thrones. But then from the second season onwards it dropped off the face of the earth and became pretty irrelevant to the cultural zeitgeist.

Hit a lull there around season 4 or 5 but finished out very strong.

I honestly don't know if I can handle watching anything else with her in it after her crying faces got so annoying. The worst was whatever season it was when she was like "I've got to get off of my meds to solve this"

The season in germany, where her homie dies is really good. Just watch it and pretend they ended the show there(they really should have)

Yeah, on balance very good show. 1st season would have been all time great if the ending had been the opposite. Definitely some muddled middle seasons, but I thought the final 2 seasons were back on track.

It's a bit of a hagiography of the CIA - it's amazing how many shows and movies essentially exist to promote the FBI and the CIA.

Loved Saul's character.

I'm just the opposite. I wanted to do a rewatch really bad, but couldn't get thru Season 2. I hate the whole Nicholas Brody story. Her affair with him and all of the time spent on his family. I just quit on it.

The last few seasons with more of Quinn and Max is what I loved. I really like all of the politics between Saul and the Pakistani's, and even more so, Saul's relationship with Haissam Haqqani.

Now I want to watch it again.

I loved, loved, loved Quinn. (I'm female ) I hated what they did to him and his character.

He was a great character. Would love a Quinn origins series about him in the military and doing CIA missions after that. We could see he and the German agent Astrid, during the Cold War. Could see the transition from Cold War to Middle Eastern terrorists being the threat.

Could have someone playing young Saul, and all of the other old enemies.

People younger than me, love The Americans. It would be similar, just pulling for the guys wearing the white hats.
