Because many of them aren't LSU fans, they're LSU fan fans.
They're more interested in the perceived reputation of the fanbase than what goes on on the field. I say perceived reputation because no one actually gives a shite outside of their tiny bubble.

Exactly. It's one thing to have respect for the team opposing the team who you support. It's quite another to have the opposing take make a victory lap around your home stadium so you can congratulate them. Get the F over yourselves fans. You're not that important. More than that, you're insulting the players who you purportedly were there to support.

Honestly, I’m shocked we didn’t do it sooner. We have a group of baseball fans that have to suck their own dicks the hardest and try to top each other.

I was there for the UNC Wilmington lap. That was fine. We adopted them when they were in the process of knocking Tulane out of the regional.
During the Tulane game their 50 or so fans stoop up to chant Let’s Go Seahawks and pretty soon thousands of Tiger fans were doing the same. It was hilarious.
Rick Jones is still pissed about that to this day.

The best part was the bruin fans wanted him to go away. They just ended our season and we have people going and trying to hijack their fan base lol

As a member of both fanbases, it's a comparison I make often.
I have a pretty healthy disdain for the vast majority of both fanbases.

I’d like our fan base to go back to being feared and ruthless. We grew up with piss balloon stories and burning the stupid tiger tail auburn van. The old box still had a lot of intimidation that I just don’t see in the new one.

For sure and skip fed into some of this when he gave them all that attention with the big gay baseball time capsule thing. They saw that and then more had to become super fans to soak up the attention.
