Yahoo Life Article

"This set is created with this very thin body in mind. It's not created for plus and so that in and of itself is frustrating," Gianluca Russo, co-founder of the Power of Plus, previously told Yahoo Life. "A lot of it, too, feels very glorifying of a body type that we've been working against actively for many years now. The body type is very reminiscent of the early 2000s, when we had all these big conversations around anorexia and fashion and bulimia and how these models were treated back in the day, which is not great. And for a lot of people it feels kind of triggering."

I'm triggered but not in the way Yahoo thinks of triggering.

Needs to eat some fried chicken squat thrusts. The backside is a little lacking.

So the fatty’s are triggered by a good looking, skinny woman with nice tits wearing revealing clothes??

I just clicked on and it looked to me that folks were still commenting.

Yet they consistently write about how great she looks. Haha
That’s the point. Dudes want to bang hot bitches. I don’t care about what positive body image platform you are promoting. The hot bitches get the attention.
And yeah, they are still letting people comment.

Thats right folks, the only way you can avoid obesity is if you have an eating disorder.

Damn it. You're right. They must have reenabled them. I'm going to have to change my thread title.

What if a person reads one of these magazines that says obese is healthy and then decides to not lose weight based on the article? If they later die because of obesity related causes can their family sue the magazine for telling them it was healthy?

I would imagine, you can sue just about for anything. But if they are literally telling people it's OK to be Obese/overweight then they should be held liable.

if you aint fat, you have an eating disorder.
if you're 600 lbs, you're normal.

Translation: we’re fat and she’s not and that’s, like, really unfair. And stuff.

I don’t care about what positive body image platform you are promoting.

"It's still operating on the same model, which is to let trends be dictated by people who are thin and then let it trickle down until it reaches size inclusivity rather than letting a plus-size body like Paloma or Precious [Lee] and Ashley [Graham] and all of them help to lead the trends," he explained, noting that microminis aren't only styled on slim bodies, but also remain exclusively accessible for that body type.
shite like this utterly misses the reason why thin models are the target, especially in ready to wear fashion: thin women are generally all thin in roughly the same way, while "curvy" (being generous) women are all "curvy" in different ways. You can design with the former in mind, but not the latter. There are simply too many permutations. shite's not complicated.
