Player of the game. And probably the guy I had the least faith in.

Proud of Fontenot
I’ll be the 1st to admit I was skeptical of bringing him in, happy for him he had a good outing

He gave up Coopers runs. No ERs.

Cooper was getting hit hard and should have been pulled sooner.

The runs were charged to Cooper, right?

0R 0ER for Fontenot

Biggest stat was 11 hits given up by Hilliard and Cooper in 4.2 innings and only 3 given up in 4.1 by Fontenot and Gervase.

I dont know why cooper got so much leash. They were hitting a guy throwing 87-88, so we bring in another guy with similar stuff. The velo guy was the way to go, took Jay too long to figure it out, but we got lucky

Cooper looked bad yesterday and jay looked like another coach we had leaving him in to rot. Fontenot put out the fire yesterday.

That outing was something to be seen. It appeared that JJ had decided that Devin was going to be last arm of the night. Nobody was working in the pen when he came in.

Coop was not getting any swings and misses. EVERYTHING they swung at was a rocket somewhere. JJ did not have anyone working until the 6th. He should have been pulled way earlier but JJ didn't want to burn arms. 14-11 and we only threw 4 guys. Crazy game.

Fontenot calmed those guys guys down. Hilliard looked nervous from the outset and cooper looked particularly bad. He should have been pulled much earlier.

My SIL was an LSU pitcher. He told me Hilliard was a bad matchup for Kennesaw, becaue they see floppy-arm junkballers all the time in their shite conference. I think he had a good point.

Yeah, his performance was huge. Wouldn't have happened without him shutting them down.
