Who doesn’t take cash? I think they are legally obligated to accept it.

I've been in a few coffee and tea places that stopped taking it.

Was a weird sign to see. Bragging about being "cashless".

I think at the very least a lot of places are trying to work around it with "Can't take larger than a $20" or "Only taking exact change".

I've definitely had a fast food place once tell me they were card only. Especially at night. And have driven away as a result.

Plenty of places don’t. They coffee shop down my street doesn’t take cash. Using debit for $2.49 is stupid but they force you.

Hampton Inn across from the Ike Center in West Monroe doesn't. I had a helluva round with them back in 2013 about it. I lost the argument because of that small fine print at the bottom of the registration card that no one reads when I checked in.

The US Open, PGA Championship, Masters, British Open are card only venues. Purchasing alcohol, a movie on a flight are card only. Concessions at major sporting events are card only.

Local Taco Bell, smoothie king center at last two concerts I went to.
I think it is a great way to keep employees from stealing cash from the business.
