I still remember that like it was yesterday. I was putting together a shelf in my living room watching the game. The first time it ended I was so pissed I almost broke the whole damn shelf.

Such a bizarre game. We scored our only touchdowns on the very first and very last plays from scrimmage. Tennessee was absolutely terrible that year but Leslie had to Leslie and we somehow pulled it out of our arse.

worst stadium on the planet. We had a group of 10 people. Had 10 seats starting on the isle. After the first 8 people sat down, there were no seats left. None of us were fatties. That place sucks!

Let's not forget the 2007 SEC Championship game. The day started with Les having to address the rumors that he was going to Michigan and he ended the press conference by dropping his classic "have a great day" line. The day ended with the Tigers beating the Vols and West Virginia suffering a shocking upset loss at home to Pitt, putting the Tigers into the BCS title game.

We was robbed.

Yes. LSU goes back to back natty if they aren’t robbed in Knoxville in 1959.

I know there are some fans that fall in this category, but as an LSU alumnus & season ticket holder, I don’t think this is how our guests see things. I’m not saying we’re as nasty as Florida fans, but I don’t think class when thinking about LSU fans.

LSU also “won” in 2010 by the extra play, won in 2006 with Russell in the last 20 secs with Tennessee playing a backup QB. These games historically have been pretty wild outcomes except for the past years when LSU sucked with Curly, Stovall & Archer & when Tenn sucked with Dooley & Jones.

4 to 6 Nattys (depending on who's counting)
————————-
Two, 1951 & 1998, if counting AP/Coaches/BCS

This is the pivotal game on our schedule IMO. A must win, will set tone for rest of our season.

Were they still declaring the Champs prior to Bowl Games in ‘59?

Cause if not didn’t Ole Miss beat LSU like 21-0 in the Sugar Bowl that year?

I’m not talking about the fans. I’m talking about the athletic department and how we treat our guests. Drunk fans don’t control things.

Hi Guys, I'll be flying in all the way from Sydney, Australia for the LSU vs Tennessee game on 8 October. How do you all suggest that I go about getting tickets? Thanks!

If this game stays at night, me and Mrs.Semjase may have to take a trip back to the s-hole for a day to see that game.

One day and then back before sunrise, so we don't have to see any more of the hole in the daylight than possible.

East Central Florida on the Atlantic Coast is a hell of a lot more scenic, higher vibe, clean and superior place to live than anywhere in Luzianner.

Tennessee fan here. I’ll be making the trip to Baton Rouge for this game. We have a group of 4-6 guys that make an SEC road trip every year. It’ll be all of our first time to LSU.

I’m pretty excited for it. Your roster is more talented than us and it’s an SEC road game so it might not be good for us, but we’ve been kicked in the nuts so much as Vol fans the last 15 years you sadly become numb to it.

I’m hoping it’ll be a night game because I’m likely gonna have to fly in that morning. The opportunity to see us playing there comes along so rarely I’m pretty sure you’ll see a good turn out from us.

Yeah the final polls came out before the bowls back then

I am sorry I misunderstood your post. You are right, the admin side does do a good job. Except for the year that we banned visiting bands from performing at halftime. But they did see the error of their decision & corrected it the next year.

It was unbelievable how the Texas athletic department treated LSU in our trip to Austin. From the lock rooms not having AC to the distance they forced our team to walk from the bus to the entrance of the stadium to sticking our band in the upper deck.

They need to realize right now. They are equals in the SEC. not the big dog any more. Are they a big brand with a storied history? Yes but so is half of our conference. We aren’t small big12 teams that you can treat like trash.

The only SEC program I could maybe see doing shite like that is Florida but that’s still a big stretch.
