The DEA is all in on investigating Doctors and pharmacists, THEY WILL PUSH MORE PEOPLE TO STREET DRUGS.

They have turned an epidemic of controlled narcotic OD's into an apocalypse of street fentanyl overdoses and their foot is still on the gas at warp speed.

Classic government response.

Maybe the last few years have just worn away my last bit of compassion.

If you’re stupid enough to take illegal drugs and die from fentanyl, oh well. We need some Darwinism in the world.

Make weed legal, safe, and cheap. Most people can get the buzz they want on that or alcohol.

Those that resort to harder drugs probably weren’t a productive member of society anyway.

Who is dying? I literally do not know anyone who died from Fentanyl overdose. Who, in their right mind would take street drugs, knowing the chance of toxicity is real? Early on, yes, dumb kids made some errors in choosing friends and habits. But NOW? TODAY? how many die ignorant of the stupid chance they will die?

I have lost two family members to that crap in the last 8 months. Both had issues with drugs, but neither was expecting to die from taking one pill.

Drug dealers cut their product with fentanyl bc 1) it’s cheap and 2) hardcore users want that more potent high. However, when an average drug user unknowingly uses product laced with fentanyl, they die.

We could cut down on these accidental deaths with a testing kit. Member when kits came out to test for the date rape drug in drinks?

I honestly don't have a problem with investigating pill farm docs, but I agree fentanyl is the bigger problem.

What's worse, our government instigated the narcotics crisis in the first place. This is the "fix" (pun intended) to the problem they created.

Compare fentanyl deaths to gun deaths.

Which one is getting all the attention?

I don’t see why anyone cares. If druggies want to take drugs and they die that’s their doing. It’s like people dying in squirrel suits - so what?

I don't get what you are complaining about.

DEA regulates pharmacists and doctors prescription licenses. It has a department that only focuses on prescriptions while the rest of the agency focuses on street drugs.

Are you saying the DEA shouldn't be regulating pharmacists and doctors?

Are you for doctors just handing out pills for money?

Drugs from doctors are more expensive. Addicts switch to the more dangerous street drugs because they are cheaper.

Shouldnt the DEA try to keep doctors from hooking their patients on pain meds...because at some point they will use cheaper illegal street drugs?
