MeauxJeaux we are from the same area and know common folk. I’ll kick BamaCoasters arse Vermilion Parish style if he transforms against what he says. He’s standing up for what he believes is the direction of change that our community needs here. We are stuck in the 1970s on laws and progress down here. See our MAMA Governor emptying her Mag on TV currently.

I've had thoughts on stepping my foot into the political landscape in Louisiana. I don't really have any major issues with my state rep, so if I eventually decide to do something it may be city council or something.

Great thing about term limits, you will get a shot at an open seat eventually. Fresh faces, new ideas.

Legalize cannabis. Lotta hate for this one

I'm fine with this.

Just, unlike my state of Oklahoma, fricking iron out the legislation and close all the loopholes BEFORE YOU LEGALIZE IT, so the Chinese don't set up shop putting illegal grow houses literally everywhere and making tens of millions that legal growers could be making.

We passed medical MJ in 2018 and the loopholes are just now about to be closed and fine print written, in a few months. I voted against it in '18 because there wasn't a deep enough legal plan and barely any regulations. The Chini made billions to send back to the CCP in that short time. Don't make the same mistakes.

Legalized sports gambling, as well (most southern states already heading that way)

What, specifically, would you like to discuss when it comes to marijuana policy implementation?

How you plan to get it passed. All of your talking points are great and I really admire your attempt at getting elected without outside influence…. However, you have picked platforms that play well with the public but have a very low possibility of passing….

Term limits? I am all for them but you will be pushed to the side immediately and marginalized, which means your colleagues will not support your other items…

MJ legalization? I am all for it, especially growing and taxing it but your are not going to see it done for recreational use any time soon. Look at the ridiculous regulations on growing hemp if you think this is remotely close in Alabama…

I want to know your plan for getting it passed, other than “I am going to introduce a bill”…

We need a lottery and casino gambling in this State which would have already passed if your future colleagues were not so stupid in their implementation and rules for both.

This State is controlled by the three “A”’s:

AEA- they will frick up your lottery and gambling chances unless you give them every dime of the money…

ALFA- they do not support legalizing MJ and will block you at every turn…

Alabama Power- you will bow to them or they will crush anything you bring forward…

I will make you this promise…. You get elected and I will work with you and your staff on pushing everything you have brought up for free but you better be prepared to get bloody, very bloody…

I do, but that state is a disaster when it comes to insurance. I honestly think if a hurricane hits FL this year, it'll cost Desantis the presidency due to the shitshow.

Ok man, just voted for you. Good luck. Sorry I learned about your candidacy so late in the game.
You make it out the primary, will come by your office, but you had a few signs in my neighborhood today already.

I voted Reggie today and worked the pavement in Gulf Shores with signs and free water, pizza, donuts etc. he was the only candidate with human presence. Everyone else had signs only setup. Many voters appreciated us being there to talk about concerning issues before they voted. I’ve learned about 25% of drivers won’t wave or acknowledge you. About 2% are still wearing masks in a car with no one else in it.

Any returns on this? Hoping for the best.

I really respect normal people putting it all out there and doing something. It not an easy thing to do and you should be commended no matter the outcome.

How bout cutting government spending? Why can't the government not spend when a tax goes away? There is no need to replace government spending.

STATE REPRESENTATIVE- District 95

Frances Holk Jones 68%

Reginald Pulliam 18%

Michael Ludvigsen 15%

By what I saw on election day and the lead up to it, I am guessing Holk Jones had a lot of establishment backing locally, but don't know for sure. Anyway, thanks for running the good race Reggie

She has huge name recognition for the area. Her dad was the mayor of Foley for a long time

So was her grandfather.
She is the establishment.

Update on my race:
Was more hopeful young people would turn out, but that was not the case.
This lady literally spent $130k on a job that pays $52k/yr. She ran on No issues (literally her campaign slogan was accountability business community”. I self funded my campaign for about $13k. We were “all in” on social media ads. It was exhausting, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. I slept til noon today. I ran against a powerful machine and lost. People get the govt they deserve. I ran on freedom (legal pot, getting state out of alcohol business), term limits, ending grocery tax. Voters rejected it.
I’ll never do it again.

No shame in that at all. You literally put your money where your mouth is and entered the race to make a difference. That is more than can be said for most who complain yet aren’t willing to lift a finger to try to change, myself included.

Good for you and congrats on the effort. A $13k education as I’m sure you learned some life lessons and met many good people out there along the way.
