This is probably a dumb question, but why is Neo-Nazism considered right wing?

Didn’t we help defeat Hitler (nazi) under a conservative President.
So why is Neo Nazism grouped with conservatives?
Edit: was looking at wrong President, I been out of school for a long time, but I’m genuinely curious on all of this.

Because they wanted to demonize nazism and distract from the murderous outcome of communism.

The meme is that "fascism" is always right wing, which is if course absurd.

Communist face a burning desire to depict fascism as the right wing equivalent of their evils. In truth the right side of a political spectrum if that’s how you choose to visualize it would be anarchy.

Simple. Just look at it from the lefts' perspective. Nazi = bad. Right = Bad. Bad = Bad. Nazi = Right.

On a Nolan chart, Nazis are authoritarian, but basically Centrist on the left/right axis
I will let someone else handle the assertion that FDR was conservative.

Especially given that Mussolini and Hitler were both leftists

FDR was conservative was he not?
I am not knowledable on this I’m going off what the internet says on the matter.
I’m just confused as to how Nazism got tangled up with conservatives.

Very few buzz words used in ideological politics have any objective, accurate, meaningful, or consistent definition.

I’m serious. If you search FDR it says he was conservative. I’m genuinely curious how we got the point where someone who is a neo nazi is grouped with conservatives and republicans.

Generally democrats aren’t conservative, but apparently FDR was?

You are mixing two different "left-right" continuums.
If you put the American Left and Right on the Authoritarian- Anarchy scale they would both be pretty far left with our founders a hair away from Anarchy around the time of the articles of confederation.

Cause 'merica is a pretty dishonest way to frame this. I've seen a lot of the simpletons figure out the lie in the right wing fascism narrative.
It's a deliberate obfuscation to create a false dichotomy. "Are you a fascist or a communist?" Which is exactly how the left approaches everything. "You're against abortion because you're racist!"
Doesn't leave a lot of room for honest debate.

Because progressive nazis control academia so they distort history to deflect from the evil outcomes of their ideologies.

Oh, yes. The great socialist reformer and borderline fascist. Super conservative.

I’m just confused on it all, because nazis are racist, bigots, and all that so how are they grouped with the political side that started off with kind hearted Christian folks?
