Because Hitler thought he was right wing. He fought against all the left wing parties, including the Democratic Socialists and especially the communists.

Every statesman in Europe and the US in the 1930s considered Hitler right wing for one simple reason...he was right wing.

This does NOT mean conservative. Hitler was a right wing radical.

I’m just saying the internet calls him a conservative. That’s all I was saying I’m not disagreeing with you. I forget all this shite from school.

So basically being conservative has nothing to do with your political party? So why are all conservatives considered right wing racist now a days?

He certainly was not a conservative. Crimminy, he was almost as radical as Stalin.

Exactly. And for the record, I'm both, actually.

So why is Neo Nazism grouped with conservatives?

If you own the mainstream channels of public information, you can define anything any way you want. There's a growing portion of our society who actually believe a male can give birth. Even though there is no factual truth to it and it's comically ludicrous, media, pop culture, internet sources of information and academia have tortured the definition of "gender" to the point where it will probably be a "fact" in a generation or two.

Nazis are collectivists, utopian and highly authoritarian. The definition of a "conservative" as we know it limits central power and champions individualism. The left needs fear and a lot has been invested in making Nazis the ultimate manifestation of evil in the history books, even though the commies have them beat easily by numbers. It's just an easy political attack aimed at those who don't want to think, they just want to react.

I would not say that. I'm conservative and Matthew Yglesias is liberal, but I don't want to kill all the immigrants, Jews and Blacks, and Yglesias doesn't want to starve all our farmers to death.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt a conservative President?

I mean, the Germans didn't sign surrender documents until 27 days after his death, but Truman certainly wasn't a conservative either.

I apologize I was looking at the wrong President. My other question is still confusing to me though.

Politically, our country was became true fascist by pure definition (unity between corporate and government powers) during Johnson's administration.

It is of course decentralized in its form, not pure dictatorship authoritarian, just authoritarian to an entity.

Hitler was a socialist. Hitler was a people's champion. Hitler pushed all the same ideas Dems are pushing today. Are they right wing? No.
The only issue where Hitler was notably right wing was his position on race and that was not his defining characteristic. He was fighting communists so compared to them he was right wing.

Turning Hitler into a right wing boogeyman effectively cut off any discussion of individual liberties and led to 100 million dead due to communism in about 50 years. Weirdly nazis are bad and communists are still portrayed as the hope of the world.

Interesting chart, though after the past decade or so I'm not sure I'd have the ACLU at the edge of Personal Liberty.

Because the elites are left wing and the convinced the world AFTER WWII that the Nazis are right wing because being a nazi was no longer tolerated by the world.

Just like they convinced the world that republicans and dims switched political parties, so they could distance themselves from slavery.

I’m just trying to figure out how a political party that leans conservative (conservatism is derived from Christianity right?) has ended up with crazy neo nazi beliefs being stuck on it. Why can’t they be their own thing?

I know I look stupid, and admittedly I am on this type of stuff. I’m just trying to fit pieces together because I’m not so sure that political parties even matter in today’s age.
