I see the producer’s point. They’re in the business of selling ads sandwiched around content. 90 seconds is a considerable amount of time in the commercial advertisement world. If Dinesh wanted that much time solely dedicated to his show, he needed to buy it.
Then you didn’t read or fully comprehend what you read. They were going to take out the name of the movie, Dinesh’s name, and Salem media.

And Fox News knows it. They just want to continue the big lie which literally means they support the stolen election.

All things that are more suited for a commercial for the film. If you want the content of the film out, he got that with Catherine.
Dinesh just wanted a commercial without paying for it. Fine, but I understand Fox saying no. They felt the content was important enough to air and they had the Catherine lady speak to the substance. If Dinesh wanted 500,000 people to Google his film after seeing it on Tucker, he needed to buy that exposure from Fox. That is their literal business.

And thus the problem.
If you are there to promote the movie and the clip provided is being shredded so that there is no reference to the movie, filmmaker, or releasing studio, that is an issue.
To use the Titanic analogy from the discussion, this would be like Today Show showing 15 seconds of Kate and Leo on the bow of the boat without saying anything about the film, James Cameron, Paramount, etc.

Some here are not going to believe this. Because Tucker is the last bastion of hope. But the bow tie wearing Tucker is about ratings.
His producers exchange: twisting it to try to make Dinesh look like he was all about stealing content. Was a run-around... Because there is no way Paul Ryan and the Saudi sheik --Obama's sugadaddy-- that is a shareholder of Fox News, was allowing 2000 Mules-any air time.
This is where we are at.
They are calling Dinesh outright batshit. Shocker...

This should have been a win-win.
Fox would have gotten more viewers had they made it known they were showing the full 90s trailer.

Okay, that twitter profile is an obvious troll. You are right he did not go to Harvard or Yale law. He went to a small private school in Connecticut, Trinity College.

Tuck is controlled opposition. Leading the boomers by their noses. Fox News is garbage like all the rest. They are traitors, don't let their flag chyrons and teases fool you. They sold out the country long ago.

I can see Tuckers argument. No talk show or any other format would play a full 90sec trailer on their show. They play clips. They had booked the guest before ever having knowledge that a trailer would be available. Tuckers focus was on allegations and substance. Denish wanted to turn it into a purely promotional segment.
I also find it curious that the email chain begins with the producers response email. You can tell there is some catty animus there and that something must have preceeded this.
The show was pissed that Denish pulled a guest last minute leaving them scrambling to find something to fill the segment. Now I understand why the movie wasn't mentioned the second time around.

You can’t show the content of a film without referencing the film. That’s wrong and it’s stupid.

Dinesh probably should have let that slide. Curious viewers would have looked further on their own to find more info on the movie. And, Dinesh could promote it on Twitter himself after the fact. He could tell people that Tucker's show can be accessed online later by viewers. Probably would get more eyes on it that way. Would have been a win-win.
Posted on 5/13/22 at 11:15 am to FlexDawg
And that is normally handled by adding chyrons to the footage to say what it is and who made it playing over the footage used.
Doesn’t seem to have been the case here.

Terrible take and pathetic standing up for the news outlet who called Arizona early and helped rig the election.
The length is one thing, but you do not cut out the references to the movie. You can’t show content without referencing the movie or giving credit. It’s wrong and it’s so obvious why Fox was doing it.

FFS, folks in the infotainment allow celebs on to push IP all...the...time.
I get what you said earlier about the full 90 seconds, but nobody on Fox has mentioned the film (maybe Gutfeld, but even them I'm not sure) OR Dinesh (with regard to this, even a sideways mention). The film's producers are rightfully concerned there is still a blackout at Fox (and there almost certainly is) and was reluctant to give anything away about assurances. As far as the full 90-second spot, I concede there should have been more room on both sides to negotiate what could be cut - hell, allow Salem to cut a shorter trailer.
It became a dick-measuring contest a little too quickly. Blame to go around, for sure.
