Was Joe not physically up to the job and they needed press coverage since nobody would even notice if Blinken went? Let's send the brave woman over there.

To oversee the pack out of cash she hauled back to the US. If Ukraine is going to fall (which if Russia keeps going it will) the record needs scrubbed and she probably went over there to convey messages from "the big guy" that can't be sent other ways without fear of tracing.

It seems like a trip the POTUS should have taken, to show US backing.
If the trip was too dangerous for POTUS, why risk FLOTUS with the same trip?
