Legitimate crazy people would probably sound scary, especially when it comes to the supposed paranormal.

I don’t believe in ghosts, ufos, aliens, big foot or any of that stuff.
My mind is open to change but I’m gonna need to see it with my own eyes.

My cousin and his brother in law had a hunting club on the Tom Bigbee river. The distinction of the property was a colonial home and slave quarters where mrs Jefferson Davis and Confederate Calvary stayed when Davis was in Montgomery. My two brothers and I were invited for opening day deer hunting. That first night the stories about plantation were told while sitting on the roof of the house. Two slave boys watched the cut paths to the river expecting a river boat to lod bales of cotton at the docks. The bell that was rung to tell everyone to go through the center cut to load was still in place.
Then Don told about the caretaker. He refused to go into the house at night. “Haunt’s were in da house.” He had rooms lit up when the power switch was open at night.
Ten guys in one huge room with eight bunk beds. Snoring like a freight train. I couldn’t sleep, too much noise. I looked over and the door to the room open and close four times. Told my cousin..he said ”Then Fred is right. Always thought Fred was a little nuts.”
Don and Bob went later and slept in two rooms on the ground floor a few nights. Doors slammed, lights on and off. They sold the property and bought something else further up the river. They both said two nights were enough for them.

In 2010 I was living in a condo. One night while asleep I awoke to my GFCI outlet in my bathroom going nuts buzzing. I went to reset it and it kept popping out and making some loud buzzing sound. It kept receiving power surges. This is the only time it had ever done it and will ever do it. I heard something going on outside at the condo complex nextdoor. Right on the other side of the wall where the outlet was there was an ambulance loading up someone. Found out they had passed away.

I wish someone remembered well enough to pull that thread up.
A lot of classic TD gold in that one.
I keep this one bookmarked. Good thread - 92 pages

I do… but only because there’s a steady paycheck in it.

The evidence needs to match the claim being made. People lie, deceive, suffer hallucinations, have biases, and make honest mistakes every minute of every day. To date, there’s just no hard evidence of anything we would consider supernatural.

From a Biblical perspective, it states, “it is appointed unto man, once to die, and then the judgment.” I believe all “ghosts” encounters to be of demonic origin.

I have seen a ghost one time. It was at a hotel in Grand Junction, CO. Very non-threatening just a guy sitting on the edge of the bed. Lights flashing and he was there for a few flashes and then gone.
I wasn't trying to be a dick. I would say its not a fact that ghost exist so I like to know why people who believe in ghost do so.
It seems like a lot of people see them when they are in bed or sleeping. Someone can quickly drift off then quickly wake up and then a dream feels like reality. Im not saying that's the case, I really don't know. I would think if they existed, they would be seen in random places. I never heard of anyone seeing a ghost in public places where there are a lot of people, there are just a lot of questions that surround this issue.

It is flat out silly to me that so many adults actually believe in ghosts.
Really.

Souls of the departed trapped between dimensions of the Multiverses.
Only had one experience of this when a close friend passed away from pancreatic cancer. A week after his death during a dream of mine he was standing on the other side of a barb wire fence looking at me . He waved once and then walked away into the mist.

Power surges seem to happen around death. We had them at our house when my father passed. That same night my father's aunt passed away in New Jersey. I was talking to the family a few days later and they said all the light bulbs in the hallway exploded

It takes a while to make a ghost. In the future all of the ghosts will be wearing cargo shorts and crocs.
