So this thread is not for HOF or even superstar players. But for the underrated, injury shortened, or whatever lesser known “Hall of good” guys that were just fun to watch play ball.

Mine are Eric Davis, Ron Gant, and Steve Finley.

Barry Larkin was as stud. As was Michael Young.

Fun Fact: Played against Youk in high school. Best hitter I ever played against.

He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat, but Billy Hamilton on the basepaths was must see TV.

It's a crime that he's not in the HOF.

Prime Vernon Davis
Jake Delhomme his first three seasons in Carolina, engineering comebacks seemingly every over week (I know it wasn’t that often).

Danny Abramowicz for the Saints. Deceptive speed at wide receiver----he was slower than he looked, but could catch the ball.

Armando Muniz in boxing. Fought mostly out of California in the 70's and won a few minor titles, but never the important belts. Always put on a good show.

Tony Licata, local boxer from N.O. that had a good career but just couldn't get the big belts. Lost to the great Carlos Monzon at Madison Square Garden for the World Middleweight title.

Steve Prefontaine in track and field. Died way too young.

Anna Kournikova in tennis----good on the eyes but didn't really win much.

Juan Gonzalez from the Rangers. I will add Rusty Greer too, but I am not sure he is HOG.
