Holy crap balls! Fishing this weekend and literally almost stepped on the tail of this copperhead. He was completely stretched out and didn’t move. Scared the shite out of me. Politely poked him with my fishing pole and he finally eased along.

Sometimes an inch makes all the differnce in the world....

Reminds me of a guy that runs into the fellow that married his ex...

"How's that used stuff?" He asked.

"Not so bad after you get past the used part."

So in other words you entered his domain and damn near trampled him to death. You'll be lucky if he returns. Next time you go fishing rats will probably eat your bait and your pole.

When I was young my dad and I were picking blackberries on the spillway on Cranks Creek dam in Harlan Co. Dad said "don't move lil Harlan look down between your feet but don't move". There laid a copperhead. He told me to jump on the count of three and he killed it with a rock. Hillbilly life.

I stepped on a big girl while bowhunting a few years ago.

She didn’t even try to bite.

I picked her up with a stick and moved her further into the woods so I wouldn’t tempt her on my way out at dark.

That’s catching-size right there.

What am I saying...they are all catching-size.

Copperheads are probably my favorite snake to catch - so beautiful. Wish I ran across as many of those as I do cottonmouths.
