Used to be able to find a decent malt at lots of places.

Even Sonic stopped making them, even thought their malts were just ok.

Seems like a simple thing to make at home when the craving hits.

It really is hard to find one. I’ve been just going to Baskin Robins lately

Dairy Dip in Belle Chase. Stop there every time I return from fishing in Venice. Love the Hot Fudge Malt.

Dat's cuz the mixers are busy during crawfish season and it's crawfish season right now.

I prefer a malt to a shake. It’s been a long time since I’ve had either. Now, I’ll be on a mission!

Agree. I've noticed the same, with the usual places serving only shakes now, but I don't go out for a malt but maybe once a year.

Andy's Frozen Custard (it's a chain, and don't know if there's one near you) has a nice malt and is served with a double serving of malt. I highly recommend it

Does G&Js in Livingston still do them? I remember those growing up!

Eddie's Famous Frozen Custard in Hammond is worth the detour if you're on I-12.

There is a place in Logan Ut called Charlie’s that makes a real good one. Their shakes and malts are premium good.

I think a lot of the younger folk don't even know what a malt is. I loved them when I was growing up, but I haven't had one in years. Now I'm suddenly craving one.

If you're near a frostop, they have a tasty one. We get em from the Destrehan location sometimes.
