Just looked them up.
Biggest movies for the year were Back to the Future, The Breakfast Club, The Color Purple, Blood Simple, The Goonies, Ran, Brazil, Fletch, and St. Elmo’s Fire.
Not as strong as most of the years mentioned.
I knew they were close in time, but I didn’t realize Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s came out the same year, with Emilio, Ally Sheedy, and Judd Hirsch playing high schoolers in the Chicago suburbs and recent Georgetown grads within months lol.

I love The Sand Pebbles and El Dorado.
I also love these from 1966.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
A Man for All Seasons
Alfie was a really good vehicle for Michael Caine.
As a kid, I liked Django a lot. It's a gritty take on the west.

Definitely. I’m one of the 5 or 6 youngest people in this thread, and I’m in my mid-30s.
