Completely agree. I didn’t watch these movies until maybe 5-6 and they’re still my favorite. Almost always watch when they come on TV.

So many great films from 1954. Rear Window, White Christmas, Seven Samurai. Just bunches.

The Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Karate Kid, Ghostbusters

My favorite looking back is Nightmare on Elm Street as I think it was an incredible premise for a horror film and still do

On the Waterfront, Dial M for Murder,

Some lesser rated ones that I love are The Egyptian, River of No Return, The Far Country. and Demetrius and the Gladiators.

The Egyptian stars Jean Simmons, Gene Tierney, Victor Mature, & Bella Darvi (see this temptress below).



Demetrius and the Gladiators is worth watching just to hear the way the guy that plays Caligula says, "Christians!"
