When did LSU quit asking people to stand for the National Anthem?

I noticed this on Friday and Saturday at the softball games....
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please remove your hats as we play the National Anthem."
99% of places I go to say "please stand for the National Anthem."
But less than 5 minutes later, the announcer begs us to stand and yell for the Tigers as they are announced... then we are asked to stand for the 7th (5th) inning stretch...
I don't seem to recall "please stand" not included during football season...

They also used to say *and join in singing the national anthem* and scrolled the words on the scoreboard.

Stand if you want to or not. I always stand (whether asked to or not) and always sing it.

I suppose it's the same reason Jim Nance announced at the basketball national championship game "if you're willing and able" to stand for the national anthem.
We've become a weak country that bows to the whims of any minority view. Wait until they offer reduced ticket prices for the new transgender section of Tiger Stadium.

This is a big reason why I no longer donate to LSU but instead give that money to the 700 Club.

Do you stand when you're at home watching it on TV? Or do you Just want people to see you stand and pretend the anthem is connected to your "patriotism?" It's none of your business
