Side note (The new restaurant, Miss River, at the Four seasons in New Orleans has the best seafood tower I've had in a while).

NEVER Sleep on the Pêche Seafood Tower/platter.

The one at Georgia James in Houston is also good.

Even though it's a chain, Water Grill does a good one. Those Peruvian scallops are incredible.

I've seen the pics from the one at Supper Club - we will not be getting that. It is very bare.

Thanks for the review. Everyone has different tastes, values, etc, so I'll be seeing for myself in a few months.

My main question is this - did they fix the misspellings on the menu yet?

I was well into my 3rd martini by the time I opened the menu, My dyslexic arse did not notice

Aw man. I wasn't into theirs. The 4 whole grilled lobster tails are clearly there to make the $100 price tag worth it, but I'd rather more chilled items and/or seafood salad type things and maybe just 1-2 lobster tails sliced lengthwise to share.

60 food/40 alcohol.
As I mentioned in the original post a fine evening could be half the cost.... subtracting top end items like A5 Waygu, caviar and market seafood greatly lowers cost. I saw 5 unique groups of people I knew and all had a similar overall positive feedback. If you see first hand the design and layout of the place, I think you'll agree there was a lot of effort in the concept. Based on that energy, I feel these early hiccups will be addressed. If the management can stay open minded, with a dynamic style the likelihood of success is high. Look forward to hearing tonights review.......

I’m sorry, I’m just having trouble seeing how that meal was worth $700. Ive had meals at 2 Michelin star restaurants much cheaper than that and walked away blown away by my meal.

Although you did get a lot of stuff. So I guess quantity should be considered as a factor.

You are paying for an experience and he tried expensive dishes. A couple can go there for 4-500. My problem is I can go to Ruth Chris for far better food at 350 easy. Then again, RC has no pretensions on experience. Just perfect service and food.

I guess the experience they are offering just isn’t for me. To each their own.

I have friends that went tonight and she liked it but the pictures she showed me still had bad plating. She is definitely in the likes to be seen crowd and dresses like she is going to a club.

Welp. I can stop hating now. It was all very good. Granted, I have been following this thread and social media and intentionally avoided things that didn't look good in photos. I do still agree that presentation on some items is lacking, but it was still a very enjoyable meal.

Yes, the decor is a bit corny, but it didn't feel overdone. There were surprisingly TONS of old people in there. That's who can afford it, though.

The service was really great - everyone was so sweet and appreciative. We ended up making friends with the tables on both sides of us, and one of them insisted we get plates for their dessert to be shared.

Cocktails - I got a rose infused gin one with white grape that was really good. Jones got a tequila cocktail that he seemed to enjoy. They're a bit steep in price, but were good. Neither were in an IV bag.

Wine - We got a bottle that retails for ~$85 and it was priced at $100, so very fair there.

Apps - Crudo - Was good, although really heavy on the caper/nut topping. Tuna, Ora King salmon, and yellowtail. Also got the colossal prawn because we are suckers for shrimp cocktail. Their cocktail sauce is horseradish heavy, which is my favorite.

A5 Wagyu - We ordered 3oz. I'm sure this is how it tastes everywhere, but it was my first time having it. Wow. I see why it is so expensive. Definitely melts in your mouth, and I see why it is priced like it is. Very good.

Entree - We got the prime 12oz filet and the prime NY strip. These were perfectly executed. Great sear, perfect internal temp. Guy next to us got Pittsburg rare and they were happy to oblige. He showed us the inside when it came out, and it was perfect.

Sides - We were accidentally given mashed potatoes, which were good but we just aren't mashed potato people.
We also got the creamed spinach, truffled corn, potatoes au gratin, and the parker house rolls. All of the sides were awesome. Definitely the best creamed spinach I've had. The corn, though, was my favorite. It is so so good.

We didn't order dessert, but were shared some creme brulee. It is what it is. I would get the butter cake if I went back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the whole visit. I wish I had pics of the rolls because they were great.

Bill was $750 after tip ($550 prior), but you could easily get out for way less by skipping the wagyu and not ordering 4 sides for 2 people. Hell, you really didn’t need 2 steaks. We have a massive bag of leftovers.

Nice review! That corn does look delicious!

I'll ask the question: Was the menu corrected?

No kidding.

Anyone can cook a steak.

But not everyone can spell arugula.
