Shamit:

Trey Murphy finishes the regular season leading all rookies in 3pt% minimum of 100 attempts.

quote:

Trey Murphy also leads all rookies in FT%, minimum of 20 attempts. Herbert Jones finishes 8th!

He had a good end of the year. He had to fight to get minutes all year, spending time in the GLeague multiple times, before finally earning his bench role.

And it paid off. I think if he puts in the work next year he is a huge part of the rotation.

yes I think at minimum they have a reliable rotation player. Emphasis on reliable (you know what you are likely to get and some/most of it is good)

Big win at that draft slot

I thought he played well. He’s going to be a key rotational player next year as a 3 and D shooter/wing off the bench. You can’t have enough of those guys.

He fought and put in the effort, can't ask much more from the Rook.

Post-ASB Trey #s: 21 games - 16.4 MPG
45.7/44.3/91.3 (attempts 6.1/3.8/1.1)
8.3 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 0.9 APG, 0.2 TOV, 0.5 SPG, 0.0 BPG

That's solid for the lack of minutes and purely asking him to stand in a corner. its crazy to think we could have 3 wings who can suffocate the opponents defensively and offensively.

Why is the FTA number so low?

A healthy roster next year will bring so many different fun lineups.

I think I am most excited to see a Jose, Herb, Trey, Zion Jaxson lineup.

On the last photo he is 9th in minutes played in that group and 10th in FTA. So close to average for the amount of minutes he's played. But man that % is nice.

Just a really really low number for tracking this stat when you have almost half sitting at triple digit attempts

A bench next year of Alvarado/Graham/Trey/Hayes/Nance/Lakers first rounder looks pretty nice. It would be incredible if we somehow end up with Jaden Ivey.

Edit: Kira/Naji/Willy

the fact that both herb and Trey make their free throws is huge for rookies getting rotation minutes. It’s the best way to stay in positive impact while out there

Yep. Pretty awesome that Herb, Trey and Jaxson took technical foul free throws at some point this year, even when the starters were in.

Jaxson has a really nice FT stroke. Gives you hope that he can become something really impactful

Without looking I woulda thought he struggled from 3.

The funny thing is the reason I'm thinking is because his 3 pt shot looks so smooth that every time he shoots it I think it's going in, so probably expecting 100% is why I thought he was subpar even though he hit 38%

Honestly I just want Trey to spend his whole summer with two people

Herb for Defense
Vinson to take his shot to the next level.

We have enough shot creators and this could be a secondary thing he could do the following season to expand his role.

i’m excited to see what we get from Trey on the defensive end. he took a long time to get acclimated offensively, but the game has really slowed down for him. think that translates to defense pretty soon here because he definitely has the frame and athleticism for it

The improvement we saw in Murphy, Hayes and Alvarado in the second half of the season is really encouraging. I’d put Herb in there as well but he off course showed up to camp as a fully baked Pippen.

I want Josh to come back so I can see a Jose,Herb,Hart,Trey,Nance lineup so I cam see another team just straight up quit from getting so frustrated.
