#1 for me will always be Baa Baa Black Sheep
They cancelled due to the expense in keeping the 6 corsairs and japanese zero (same one used in tora tora tora) flying.

Came to post Rome. That show kicked arse.

Semi-related: The Batman '66 series was cancelled by ABC, but picked up by NBC. By the time word got back that the show had been renewed on a different network, the sets had already been destroyed. When NBC was faced with coming up with the budget to re-set the series, they passed.

the injustice that they did to the story behind The Liberator on Netflix due to budgetary issues should never be forgiven.

Before Amazon Prime saved it, The Expanse.

I really loved the OA on Netflix and i heard that it was cancelled before season 3 because production was contractually due a significant pay raise that Netflix wasn't willing to green light.

As others have said, Rome is the poster child for this.

Carinvale on HBO was (mostly) canceled due to the cost of producing it. I wish they would have given us a movie or something to wrap up the story.

Bloodline
seasons 1-2 were so gotdamn phenomenal. Then halfway through season 3 it was "oh shite, we lost our tax credits? Umm..ok I guess just wrap it up folks in the next 4 episodes and call it a series"
