Culotta craps on the basketball team but doesn’t criticize Will Wade for any of it

Everytime he brings this up in football with what Brian Kelly has to deal with, he is quick to blame Coach O and Derek Ponamsky and crew (rightfully so) but when it comes to the basketball team that Mike McMahon has to deal with, none of it is Will Wade’s fault. He is saying how LSU’s APR is in danger and not impressed with the commitments and transfers because they are not 5 stars like Wade was getting. I love Will Wade and hate that he is not here anymore but it was his fault for being careless and stupid compared to how other coaches handle recruiting. You can’t shite on the basketball program and not criticize Will Wade for his part in it.

Yeah I like Culotta but he is loyal to a fault with Wade. You can wish Wade was still here and support the new staff at the same time, these aren’t opposing views. I really like the transfers so far they just need to keep coming. If we get KJ and another 4-5 on the level of the transfers we have gotten so far we can be a competitive team next year.

Your expectations for the media is to bash a person based on allegations?
And JC is correct, MM's commitments are no where near as talented as WW's class for next season. That's not even debatable. It's a top 10 team for WW versus a cellar dweller team for MM.

I like Jordy & his show, but man he is delusional over anything regarding Wade. Has an excuse for everything. Yes Jordy, will Wade was just randomly in the same Birmingham restaurant as Watford was during a dead period & just so happened to talk to his parents. Yap, totally random.
Wade was frickin sloppy & Jordy admitted it the day the allegations hit. The backtracking since then is kind of sad on his part.

Jordy and his side kick producer Lloyd are tools. Dude can't even get the music right during the show. Jordy lets his personal feelings get in the way of objectivity. I was a Wade supporter but the dude was careless and it is what it is. Of course the new coach cant bring in 5 stars right now, I personally have been impressed with his commitments so far. Is it elite talent of course not but give the guy a reasonable chance instead of down talking the new guy.

JC is that guy in his mid to late 40s that hangs out with people in there early 20s and looks like a douche while doing it.

Culotta’s show is terrible. He offers nothing but regurgitated topics and is simply boring. The Lloyd guy is beyond annoying. Can’t watch it at all.

What? The guy just got placed in the middle of a total dumpster fire with no one knowing how hard the program will get hammered by the NCAA. Is he supposed to be racking up 5* guys when even the players who were here already have almost all jumped ship? Jordy needs a strong dose of reality if he really said that.
Wade did a great job getting talent here (whether you agree with the methods or not), but it seemed most all of the players came stritctly for the money or their connection with Wade. I won't mind us getting some lower ranked players who really want to be at and play for LSU right now. And I will sure as hell take the two transfers from Murray State who scored well in the tourney averaging 16 ppg and 14 ppg.

Y'all do realize that Wade was a very below average coach correct? One of the best damn recruiters we have ever had, but just an overall bad coach. The SEC record got worse every year. Other teams in the SEC were getting better and LSU was not. Jordy wants to talk about how Kansas didn't fire Bill Self but Will Wade got canned. Earth to Jordy Wade couldn't hold Selfs jock when it comes to coaching.

Culotta was a full-throated supporter of Ed O until the writing on the wall was too much to ignore. Because of that his opinion is forever poisoned and should never be given any credence.

He’s back on the outside that’s why he’s pissed. He was very much on the inside with Wade. But next year the basketball team is going to be historically bad. I think this guy is more of a stabilize the program guy that’s gone in 3 years once there’s something to rebuild from and then Woodward goes for a big hire.

I will never understand why people put more value in a media guy’s opinion vs the opinion of the average fan. Everyone has opinions. Sometimes those opinions include bias, an agenda, etc. A radio host is no different.

Well, the idiot can’t think past his face obviously. There will most likely be post season sanctions, how the hell are you going to lure 5 stars to your program in that situation? What a moron.
