It takes two to tango. For every player that Wade tried to "buy", there was someone working with the player to "sell". Whether it was an agent, family member, preacher, or the player himself. Is the FBI charging those player representatives?

The problem will always be third party handlers.

That doesn't cut it if you want to win the whole thing.
tell that to Butler, which made it to the championship games in 2010 and 2011.

Well, people continue to post extremely dumb shite about Wade, totally unprompted. It seems like they haven't moved on.

exactly, people shitting on Wade is laughable.

We would have been pretty sick next year. You have to move on but don't shite on the guy, he had us ready to crush.

it is what it is but to shite on him is absurd.

Do not state an opinion as fact. I don't think you realize just how good we were going to be next year...but continue being ignorant.

He was screwed out of coaching in the tourney by two different ADs.

A couple things here. First off this is an outlier year being dubbed “The Blue Blood Final Four” because only 2 one and done led teams have won titles in the last decade+. Secondly there’s a big misconception among our fans as to what is an “elite” recruit. For reference Darius Days was the 39th ranked player in his class, last season Baylor had 0 top 50 recruits on the roster, the champ before that , Virginia’s top ranked guy was 32nd and was again an upperclassmen, they had 0 other top 45 recruits. Houston this season had 0 top 100 players, Texas Tech had 0 top 80 players, Arkansas had 0 top 60 players and all were led by upperclassman. Your rebuttal is this years final 4 teams but theirs is not a model LSU can replicate and besides all but Duke are filled with upperclassman.

Wade was not a great X’s and O’s guy. At all. He could pay some recruits and was a great salesman. That being said, if he coached at lsu 20 more years , I bet he’d have made it to the final 4 a couple of times.

The new coach, whom hasn’t won a game yet, is always the best. Give it a couple losses and you’ll turn on him too.

I'd rather target very good players who will be here for 3-4 years, but not the 5*s, who will most often leave after a year or two.
So you would RATHER a Team that maybe makes a Tourney run every 8-10 Years if ur lucky, bc the HC found a few diamonds in the rough that need to be “coached up” or said HC just gets lucky & finds an elite guy thats been overlooked (JaMorant)
RATHER THAN
A program with sustained excellence that can get Elite 5* players in every recruiting class that can take you to the F4 any given year (like Duke, UK, UNC, Kansas, Villanova, UCLA, Mich St, Michigan, Gonzaga, Arizona etc)?

Thats the ONLY 2 Choices CHIEF!!!

I agree with you, I like coach Wade, but he wasn't the type that'll win it all. He was like a Dale Brown 2.0, he'll bring in the top recruits, but that's it. His coaching was just lacking, but this new coach is the type to get you to the final 4. I just don't know if he can bring in the top recruits like coach Wade did.
