I want the best guy for the job however, I don’t think it’s weird that I hope things work out for Myles given that he’s waited a really long time.

I'm pulling for the coaches to pick the best man for the job.
Good luck to Brennan and the other QBs.

Doesn't matter, I guess what I'm saying is I wish all LSU fans were pulling for all our QBs and the best man to win
Some of you have already chosen Myles as "your guy" based upon what you saw 2 years ago, against Mizzou, MissState, and Vandy, where the team was 1-2. And if MB isn't QB1, you wont be happy and will never stop complaining.
If we win all our games, sure, you'll be happy but with any mistake, yall will be quick to say "see this is why MB should be QB1" instead of trusting the coaches
There shouldn't be this division amongst LSU fans rn, as we are getting unprecedented access to practice and transparency from coaches so I think it'll be clear based on footage and press conferences who the guy is as spring progresses

I've always wanted him to be the man but im to the point where, the best man needs to win. Idc anymore.

You people are the worst. You know who you are. Y’all gonna be real mad when he either doesn’t start or gets benched quickly.
It’s a loooooong season.

Pulling for him but like you said the best QB should start. He's in a weird situation. Two injuries, 6th year player battling against another 3 years starter.

But I pull for ALL Tiger players, and want the coaches to pick the best ones to play and help us win games. Period.
So we're all pulling for Myles -- but we're all pulling for Daniels, Nuss, and Howard too.
My loyalty is to the LSU football program, not any individual player or coach.

I’ve been at my company 20 years thus I am entitled to run it. This argument is terrible
If he’s good enough, he will beat out Jayden Daniels.
Hate to say it, he probably won’t be good enough.
He played decently vs miss state. He played well in games vs Vandy and mizzou, during the Covid season which no one but Alabama took seriously

You get mad when players transfer but then don’t respect the players who stay and want to be tigers. You people are so unreasonable.

It would be great for my son’s school if he did really well, but I’m pulling for the hometown boy nonetheless.

So in this argument you’re saying burrow wasn’t good enough either bc it took him so long before starting. Some develop later than others, injury happen.

Brennan's competition in 2018 was Lowell Narcisse and Justin McMillian.
Do some guys develop and improve over time? Of course.
But that improvement usually doesn't turn an average QB into a great one. The improvement is usually marginal.
Now, putting a QB into a new system can yield dramatic results. Prime example is Burrow in 2018 and 2019, going from Ensminger's system to Brady's. But Burrow's skill and ability was there all along, it was just stuck behind Haskins and handcuffed by E in 2018.

He got hit by injuries two years in a row, and sat behind Burrow who is the greatest college level QB of all-time.
Your best ability is your availability. Nobody knew Burrow would turn out to be one of the greatest QBs of all time. Brennan had his opportunity in the 2018 spring game to separate himself and he arguably got outplayed by McMillan.

Not a good look out there with him scrambling. That's a sure-fire way to get him hurt and out of the running for starter, before serious practice begins. He's no Vince Young.
Only reason he was able to scramble was the red jersey. On the only pass play he ran in the video he hesitated, then ran out of it, but in a game he’d have been crushed.

Respectfully, you probably didn't give 2 shits about LSU before J.D. but now he's here and so are you shrilling for the guy. You do You!

May the best man win!
However I too am in the MB "hope he wins the job camp!" I have wanted Myles Brennan to start since he was recruited (based on him breaking Brett Farve's H.S. records in Mississippi!) I wouldn't be honest if I didn't say I hoped he would start his freshmen year over Danny Ettling. MB was then posed to take the job after DE and then BDJ shows up. MB didn't complain he competed.
He played well in each opportunity he had. He threw a TD against GA in the 3rd qtr. of the SEC Championship game. Then started off the season looking very good. You attempt to discredit his starts but MB played well enough to win those games and the losses certainly do not fall on his or the offense's shoulders. He gets injured, sad but just as well the team already quit and quit the following season too.
New culture here now and yes there are some of us that have been watching him and hoping for his success... fkit I hope the dude wins the Heisman while taking LSU to another undefeated Nat. Champ season and he's the 1st pic in the draft! LOL me doing me;)
Providing JD wins the job you can bet he's good because MB ain't the slouch some of theses cats are making him out to be. Everyone should support the guy as he came to LSU to compete for the starting job. Last I checked, this means the dude has "CHEST" A friend of mine coaches d1 mbb text me as soon as the news broke saying JD is a special athlete. I 100% respect what he said. That may or may not be bad for MB hope he wins the job. Also hope they both wreck shiznit!

Why are you, the new guy or backup always is better that the starter?

There was also that little episode where he quit the team and only came back when his main competition, Max, left.
