Classic and classy, or extreme douche move?
Excluding tuxedos, of course.

Had to Google what a French cuff was.
Looks classy. If everything about a person is classy it would make sense. If I wore French cuffs I’d be a total douche.

you want my reply on the record, or off the cuff?

This is the OT son.
So the only way to answer this is to know what brand of watch is being worn with the shirt

What’s the best watch to wear with French cuffs for ~$800?

When I still had to wear suits to work, I wore French cuff shirts. Have a whole collection of cuff links

Why would it be douchey? It’s obviously more dressy, so you have to pick the right attire overall.

Who cares...it's all about the retro Zima you'd be holding in that hand.

Classic and classy in the right setting.

If it's good enough for this guy, that tells you everything you need to know.

What is an Omega DeVille or Cartier Tank.

I accidentally bought a shirt with those one time and it took me a while to figure out what was wrong with my shirt. Damn these sleeves are long and there are no buttons

I wore French cuffs all the time when I had to wear a suit to work. Only issue is that they get dirty/stained easily

I used to rock a French cuff about once or twice a week at my own job.

The cuff doesn't decide whether it is a douche move or not it is the cufflinks. They can certainly have character but they shouldn't look like they belong locked away in the Tower of London with the rest of the crown jewels.
