Escape Room

Imagine still thinking this is a good use of time, or in any way “fun”… did an escape room a few years back with coworkers, and it was an hour and a half of my life ill never get back… Just think if we’d told our ancestors that one day there would be places where people would willingly be locked in and trapped, then have to find their way out.. for “fun”.. they would have been horrified, and rightly so.. it’s just plain moronic, and didnt increase our ‘team bond’ one iota .

People don't need to be friends to work together.

While you’re right they don’t, without exception every place I’ve ever worked the people who were friends always worked together better, and by making friends with whomever I would be working with it made a big difference in us and our productivity / what we were able to accomplish.

You have an $800 budget for this? Is this the whole dollartree staff?

For that little amount, take them all to lunch at the best restaurant in your town. Full on surf n turf.

I could see and agree with this...someone above mentioned a during hours activity. That would be fine and a good idea...but I and many I know have seen after hours or even worse, during the weekend team buildings things as a hardship and avoid them at all costs. That's not team building, that team forcing.

Lawn darts.

Worked out great, that pederast hanerhan from accounting was weeded out when he took a dart to the eye.

Good times!

We did a team obstacle course at Loop NOLA which was legit, then just went and got drunk after.

Did a cooking competition with Chef Amy Sins, got drunk during.

Would recommend both.

You know you aren’t actually trapped right?

It’s basically a “Puzzle and Problem Solving Room Based on a Loose Story Line” but that didn’t fit on the sign.

Hey bro!

I'll love to do some team building together, if you know what I mean?!

I'd love to. But you'd ruin your life. When I called it a night at 2am, you'd just be starting a 3 day bender of booze and drugs, losing your wife, new baby, and job in the process. That's why recovering addicts can't party with us normal degens.
