for me... I think that just putting it in gear is the best way... To me it seems that hydo will slip... am I wrong?

Both have their pro's and con's. It really depends what your intended and primary use of the tractor is for.

I have a kubota mx5100 4wd with the shuttle shift . Not sure about the hydro but no complaints on using it for 11 years now. I use it for loader/grapple work all the time and it does a good job.

I bought a new Deere 5075e in August. It has what Deere call their syncreverser. It has a clutch and gears like any tractor but the reverse lever is right where the blinker switch on truck would be.
You can flip it to neutral or reverse without messing with the brakes or the clutch.
Mine is 4wd with a cab.
Both are highly recommended.

I have had both, currently have the shuttle shift with reverser.....i like it, but if all other things were equal , I would prefer the hydro

I e got a kubota 2800 4wd hydro with loader. Great little machine.
You lose pto hp with hydro which is a drawback. I like the hydro due to my wife and kids driving it though. Much easier, simpler, and safer with someone learning how to operate a tractor. Especially in close quarters.
If it was just me operating it, I’d probably lean toward a shuttle shift.

I like standard. More power to the PTO, cheaper, regular ol shite. Its just what I'm familiar with. Hydrostatic is fantastic and certainly easier to operate.

For dirt work I would recommend hydro but you should test drive and see what you are more comfortable working. Check out the Massey Fergusons. My family owns the Massey dealership in Livingston, LA.

Really if you are just doing yard work hydro is fine. You you are doing farm work shuttle shift is better.
