I would have honestly guessed that Mobile had under 30 murders per year.

That actual number is fricking outrageous and any law abiding citizen should move.

The cops can arrest all day long but it won’t matter without a functional judicial system.

Their court system is backlogged so they aren’t putting these thugs in jail.
They get arrested and then turned right back onto the streets.

Similar things happen in New Orleans.

No, we have a broken culture in our midst that is glorified and protected. Even though the evidence is there that the rest of America is going to have to stand up and stop this nightmare.

"It's everyone else's fault that we are violent and out of control" has to be stopped.

The only thing worse than the shootings in Mobile is your ability to post a link

I work in Mobile and yeah, would not want to live here. You get off the Interstate, Airline or Government a little ways and your in the Ghetto. Northern Mobile Prichard area is worse than a 3rd world country.

It’s been a war zone in mobile lately. Now it’s starting to spill out into civilian areas tho like cottage hill road.

I left mobile 4 years ago for the eastern shore. Mobile showed some promise in the last 5–10 years but the thugs have killed any hope of it not being a shithole.

There is probably still a statue that’s up in that city.

I didn't realize Mobile was that bad. My wife and I stayed at an AirBnB there a few years ago and were looking for a place to eat. I almost didn't yield where I needed to and had to slam on my brakes and the other guy did too. I put my hand up and told him I was sorry and he angrily told me to go. Ended up following us so I pulled into a parking lot and we got into a shouting match. He said "Hold one one minute" and started walking back to his truck.

I didn't stick around to see if he had a gun or not.

AL.com said that most of the crime would disappear once they found the slave ship Clotilda. Strange.
