Again, fans of coaches, ADs aside… I wanted to make a run. It truly sucks because we’re headed back to irrelevance now.

What’s more sad is we could be looking at dark times for the big 3 LSU sports. Hopefully BK can turn football around quick.

Amen. I fear LSUMBB is headed into a Dark Age for a couple of years. That's too bad because WW was building up a consistent fan support base which we've not had since the early 1990s.

TY LSU admins for fricking our student athletes twice in four years. I'm sure you were working just as hard as them to earn a post-season birth, just to have their coach yanked out from under them days before the tournament started TWICE now. Fire every last one of them. NO reason in both instances why their coach could not finish their seasons. Woke pussies in charge.

Wade paid a lot for these players, and for the most part they played hard, but they played without discipline. That kinda coaching with that kinda talent might get you to the dance, but there's no way you can make a run with Wade's poor coaching. I'm glad he's gone, let's try someone else who may know how to coach.

When your coach is paying a middleman out of his own checking account that's probably also an indictment on the infrastructure of the program. Wade unfortunately was the symptom of the disease that is the LSU athletic administration. He couldn't give away tickets his first year because the school really just doesn't pour money into basketball the way it should.
That aside, I agree with you. It was so refreshing to have momentum build in the program year after year. It's comical how impatient people are. Program was making a gradual assent into a consistent contending program. Next year's class combined with this year's holdovers was going to be a fun ride.
Besides Woodward eating shite, the NCAA can burn for dropping the NOA the week before the tournament. Calculated to get maximum attention. Scum....

LSU played badly the last three weeks of the season, the NCAA decided to release their inquiry results practically at the beginning of their tournament, and LSU decided to fire Wade. None of that shouted out anymore than a one and done tournament result.

The transfer portal could be very helpful in preventing this. There are many great mid major players looking for an opportunity. It will be difficult but not like it would have been 5 years ago. The sanctions just may mean we will have no post season glory for a couple of years, but we haven't had that with WW anyways.

Same. Wade didn’t go about things the right way but I loved the energy he brought to the program and hope someone can capture that sooner than later.
Say what you will about his coaching or about last night’s game. Being in the dance every year is better than knowing most years your have no shot like we went through for a quarter century.
