This is a sort of a corner stone. Gay people. Interracial couples. Don't get them started because this is quite literally what they live for. Being upset about these things despite the fact that Disney produces a metric shite ton of product that won't offend them.

It is kind of kink for them. Like Furries only not as wholesome.

You are completely missing the mark. It's not about being offended. Parents just want to watcha tv show with their kids without having to explain why the by is dressed like a girl or why that kid has 2 dads. A lot of kids watching this show don't know what sex is but it is constantly pushed in kids programming.

I'd be okay with them rebooting Kim Possible as a lesbian if they show stuff

Most of the people complaining here are still shelling out the cash to pay for Disney+, Marvel movies, and Disney vacations. That is the reason our country is the way it is now.

You're trying to explain rational thought to irrational people. It's a wasted effort. Just ignore them, because the rest of us know, understand and agree with you.

You mean by acknowledging gay people exist? Do you have ANY idea how many gay or unsure kids kill themselves every year because of people like you? They've never had representation on TV until probably the mid to late 90s. Shows like this and Drag Race, and any other show that manages to sneak in a gay character that you melt over actually do wonders for people who have nowhere else to look.

quote:

This is probably a stupid melt.

About the only worthy point you make.

The only "agenda" I see is yours... Let's look at a few of your recent posts:

quote:

Disney+ is just more proof of furthering gay agenda.

quote:

The Trans movement has become the most annoying thing ever. ...

quote:

not seen her recently did Brittney have a laryngeal prominence procedure after Baylor and/or come out as trans and doesn’t care to hide it anymore? I knew she looked manly at Baylor like the extra “t” in name was for testosterone, but it seems to have increased.
Literally out of nowhere questioning her gender identity in a thread about her being held hostage in Russia.

Now here's where I get confused though... I've been on this board a VERY long time, and most people here who complain about gay, also complain about black. If The Proud Family came out today in its original iteration, do you know how many threads we'd see from the Whitehoods on this board? Yet your posts that I did read seem very fair when it comes to other fire brand topics like race, or women's sports, etc. So on that note I must say I'm surprised.

Point is, gay people exist. This is not the first show that's been remade that adapts to the times and certainly won't be the last. Even if they made it as it was 20 years ago, you would not have watched it. It would not have given you that same nostalgia. No remake will. Live and let live and watch something else?

First of all, frick you.

Second, no one would if the show was simply being made as it was. This may come as a shock to you, but not that long ago there were tons of options for black lead programming, and it appealed to both black and (wait for it) white audiences. Who exactly had a problem with The Jefferson, Good Times, Different Strokes, Sanford & Son, What's Happening, Fat Albert, Family Matters, Cosby, Different World, Webster, Fresh Prince, Martin, Living Single, In Living Color, etc... The difference is shows made today are going out of their way to pretend none of those others shows ever happened...as if it's ground breaking to have a black lead show, because The Man had been keeping them from being made up until George Floyd or some stupid shite. On top of that, the times when you DO see people complain about a show with black lead today it is almost ALWAYS because they stupidly took an older property and race swapped known characters to appease clowns like you.

Point is, gay people exist

No shite.

See above...that's the problem. your ilk seem unable to create anything new and are only interested in bastardizing what's come before. Were I a more conspiratorial guy I'd say it's purposefully to destroy them out of fricking spite. I think for some it may be just that, but for the studio I think it's mostly just plain laziness, and knowing idiots will lap up old properties even if it turns out they don't like the changes.

quote:

Even if they made it as it was 20 years ago, you would not have watched it.

He just said that's what he was expecting.

It would not have given you that same nostalgia.

Wait, what?

How about stop destroying old shows and make something new?

But you can do it subtly as well. A few weeks ago Matt Walsh was reviewing kids shows with Woke themes. When it came to the My Little Pony which featured two lesbian horses, it didn’t shove it in your face where young kids of conservatives wouldn’t get the reference thinking they just live together and kids or relatives of gay people would get it, so Matt didn’t really have a problem with that one, as sour as he can be.

Look, the good news is Disney's not lying to you man. They're telling and showing everyone exactly who and what they are.

So if you watch the shows and movies or go to the parks and shite, then you support it. If you don't do any of that, then you don't support it.

Me? Well I appreciate the honesty, which means they can suck all the queer and tranny cocks they want. They just won't be shoving them down my throat.

I've always, at a minimum been neutral when it comes to queers and shite like that if not openly supportive. But now? frick those assholes. I don't give a shite about these motherfrickers anymore.

This isn't true.

The energy NASA devotes to Space exploration, Disney devotes to market research. These fricking people know exactly what they're doing and they know exactly what their audience wants.

You are entitled to live an alternative lifestyle in this country. There is no need to promote alternative lifestyles as mainstream especially considering these alternative lifestyles are unhealthy and lead to more depression and suicide.

False. Disney is in the business of social engineering. Only a fool would believe Disney thinks this will make them more money from consumers.

Hot take.

even gay advocacy groups admit that gay representation in tv and movies GREATLY exceeds even their most liberal estimates of gay population and their original goals for representation. don't believe me? google it. those articles have even been posted on this board.

guess what? they don't care. they will push their agenda, raising their percentage goal and if it reaches 100, so be it. that's also in the articles i mentioned.

so, acting like this is 'just one gay character, bigot' is disingenuous at best. it's gone way beyond 'representation' or 'a shelter for young homos' or any other bullshite, and is on to full zealotry.

finally, you people who very unironically invented the term 'triggered' - like, you very seriously said you were triggered and needed 'safe spaces' and very much expected to be coddled - you pussies don't get to call anyone else shite. i'm glad it bothers you so much, though.

And those kids won't learn or be told anything about sex from this show. Gay dads does not equal sexual content.
