really don’t know what to say, other than this will be the only Pixar movie I only watch one time
already deleted it.

From the other room it sounded like the same annoying voice as Luca except it was a pudgy Asian girl this time.

Awful awful awful.

The icing was how they all went crazy over the BLACK boy band member. As stupid as the lesbian kiss in star wars was. Quit trying to convince us that black people and Asians love each other.

Pixar has lost their way.

Rotten tomatoes:
Critic score 95%
Audience score 64%

Honestly surprised it’s that high for audience and once more parents actually watch it I bet that will plummet. Comments on the 5 stars all seem to be written by bots lol.

Between the critic/audience score discrepancy on Rotten Tomatoes and the universal media narrative, it’s almost a carbon copy of The Last Jedi.

Media was falling all over themselves to proclaim it BEST MOVIE EVARRRR and declare anyone a shitlord who dared disagree.

Yeah, watched part of it with my 7 year old. Not really appropriate for her.

We did the same thing and decided to turn it off. Not ready for some of those discussions yet.

I thought the same thing. It’s unfortunate that it is almost universal if the critics like it, then the audiences don’t. Hollywood just doesn’t give a rip anymore - and why should they as they are still making money.

Except Teen Wolf was targeted toward the right age group.

This movie isn’t offensive to me, but the age group that is supposed to enjoy the movie either won’t understand the themes or is borderline too young for the discussion.

“5-7 years from now you’re going to start bleeding from your crotch, need absorptive pads or tampons, and would be horrified if your mother ever showed up to school waving them in the air.” - Is this what they are aiming for?

This movie sucks. Its a theme for 14 year olds in a movie for 7 year olds. My kids hated it.

Disney just keeps lurching more toward the left everyday.

I know they did a short on the Disney Plus last year about a grown man coming out as gay.

How long before they have a PIXAR movie about a trans kid coming out? Is one in the works right now?

You know it is coming. They are so big now they believe our voice doesn't matter.

Will they try to legitimize pedophilia as well?

Oh wait they already did. They hired James Gunn back after their woke brigade got upset. But Gina Carano and Roseanne remain fired.

The mouse is one evil a-hole.

That’ll never happen since China would never allow it to be released there. They’ll throw the LGBT community a bone or two over here, but not to the point where they invest a lot of cash in something they can’t edit out.

This movie sucked big time. I tried to watch it with my 4 year old yesterday. Awful.

Mediocre movie, but that 4Town song that they kept playing was a bop. I saw somebody this morning say that it was better than We Don’t Talk About Bruno, and I 100% agree

She says I don’t get it Bc I’ve never been a teenage girl.

But ok, but the movie isn’t directed towards teenage girls. 14 yr old girls are too old for it. So it’s got teen girl themes but directed at little kids

Sounds like 10-14 years old is the right age group.

I can see you didn't actually read the news you speak of. Disney ultimately capitulated to their woke employees and started attacking the Florida bill. Bob Chapek apologized to them and has stopped funding GOP candidates.

The only reason he didnt oppose the bill from the get go is because Disney World gets around $570 million in tax breaks from Florida, which they need Republican support for.

Of course, Disney will likely lose some or all of those tax breaks since they no longer give to Republican candidates.

My five year old watched it yesterday, but like someone else said earlier, I don't think she understood all of the mature themes etc.

Was Encanto a Pixar movie? If so then this has competition. I was very let down by that one.

so can someone explain how it was "woke" and "overly sexualized"?

my 9 year old wants to watch this Friday (our movie night) and I have seen comments about it here and other places but with no specifics or other explanations

if its just about a young girl getting her first period (which is obvious from the trailer), my 9 year old knows about periods, so not sure she would be offended by that
