Back in the 70s, we had high gas prices and inflation, too.

...But, we had great new music released.
Now, we have the high gas prices and inflation, but no good music.

Lose, lose.

I don't recall anyone ever complaining about the actual prices in the 1970's, they were more concerned with the scarcity and rationing.

My dad: I've never seen gas prices like this
Me: You did in the 70's and 80's
My Dad: Yeah, but this is different

In the 70s I had my own personal company car. When the gas shortages came I got a pickup with extra built in tanks. Filled up at the company pump. Always had gas for boat too.

This time it is different.

I mean, I agree that 70s country music is awesome. That doesn't mean that there isn't really good country music out right now though.

Plenty of good music still being released. The bluegrass scene is crushing it.

This is actually true, but can be tough to find.

KBON 101.1 out of Eunice plays some stuff from Louisiana artists (and some from SE TX ones as well) that is pretty damn good.

And despite being Eunice, they have an app where you can stream and listen from anywhere now. I plug into my truck and listen while driving around in the Permian oilfield.
