Nothing that exotic. Tabasco, cayenne, and Coolapenos.

Just bought a half dozen of the following already started:

Jalapeno
Habanero
Cayenne

Looking for some Trinidad Scorpion Butch T's and some Carolina Reaper but it's too early yet for the super hots.

Probably just jalapeno and bell peppers, and a couple shishito plants like last year. I'm not a big pepper grower.

I love when I get to the point of summer where I can make some blistered shishitos as a quick snack or side almost every day.

Tombstone Ghost…

I don’t even eat them, just throw them into a ziplock in the freezer. IDK what you could even do with these hot SOBs.

I way overdid it last year. I was drowning in super hots, and no one would take them.

I'm going to limit it this year, and do some more palate-friendly versions. Cayenne, Tabasco, and Habanero. That should get me through, and I can eat them as I go.

Any idea where I can find "hot" banana peppers seedlings/plants in the Lafayette area?

Bells, Marconi, green Lemon and orange jalapeños for sure. I got seeds from peppers friend gave me last year but I’m not sure I even want to touch them they were so damn hot.

Last year I did Thai chilis and I really enjoyed those. I’ll probably do those again, maybe a habanero too.

What do you do with the super hots? Last year I grew jalapeno, cayenne, tabasco, serrano, habanero, and ghost. I used the jalapeno, cayenne, and tabasco but I couldn't find any practical way to get rid of the hotter peppers. I did make hot sauce but got tired of bottling it. Could you make a seasoning paste that freezes or stores well?

This year I plan on growing jalapenos and serrano.
