It’s just more propaganda spewed up. I truly believe Putin is playing rope a dope. He’s nowhere near dumb enough to have played his cards yet. He didn’t rise through the KGB and become president being a dummy. I believe he’s waiting to see what the rest of worlds response is.

For the expectations that Putin had for this campaign, he certainly getting his arse handed to him. That's undebatable at this point.

I’m not a fan of how we are trying to frame this war and how we set expectations. They may be far different to what Putin expects and likely are. Our media has set ridiculously lofty goals. It’s not hard to see the game they are playing

It’s obviously bs because it’s literally only been 4 days. If Putin successfully invaded the largest country in Europe in 2 days then he would literally be on par with Alexander the Great!

Can we stop starting threads claiming every fricking thing out of Ukrainian is propaganda? We fricking get it. No one here is telling anyone you have to believe every single thing you hear, but it’s getting quite annoying reading the same shite over and over from the propaganda bots.

As much as I'd rather not believe what I'm thinking, he may very well be waiting for that one opportunity to escalate this beyond the borders of Ukraine. He certainly has given the world enough warnings that the unthinkable is a possibility if NATO intervenes on behalf of Ukraine giving him the excuse he wants to "gobble" up more countries in his quest to restore the former Soviet Union.

The best outcome was to overtake Ukraine quickly and decisively. He is a fool if he thinks showing weakness is at all a good strategy here. I think he underestimated the situation and the repercussions.

Right, but these are just your opinions.
You are essentially saying that your opinions are more trustworthy than the whole of the Western world. Skepticism I get, but that's a bit much.
As for Putin being upset: he probably is. The entire world is saying he's getting humiliated. There are social media videos of Ukrainians laughing at him near burned out husks of Russian equipment.
Is it propaganda? Potentially. That "Ghost" stuff was always silly and I don't believe a word of it.
I believe there are a lot of Russian equipment in smoldering heaps. I believe NATO countries are starting to send Ukraine anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons through Poland. I believe Russia continues to escalate because their first attempts did not work.

That’s a boxing strategy (suitable for 1 person vs another), not a war strategy (thousands on both sides with high costs on both).
All assets are precious and should be used efficiently. Why would you go to war willingly taking more abuse to your limited assets as a means to lower the other side’s expectations?

If they wanted to target civilians, or decided to carpet bomb, they would.
They have not done that. This isn't accidental.
They're targeting military installations/targets and anyone who scoffs at Putin's description of this action as "special operations" and "denazification" does so at the risk of being branded a retard.

He has a heavy presence in Ukraine and is advancing. People believing this media nonsense of "Ukraine is winning" are just flat out dumb. No one takes a major city in a week. Without serious Western help, Putin will take most of eastern Ukraine.
