Best Route to Bluebonnet after football games

Started making reservations at downtown hotels for this years home football games and cost is outrageous to book two rooms. River Road to downtown is so easy after games but cost is outa site.
Thinking about Bluebonnet hotels. Which is better route after games? Burbank or Nicholson Drive to Bluebonnet? How is the traffic after games on Bluebonnet/Burbank? Thanks!

Kind of depends on where you park

We have a parking pass around the same area as the free lots on River Road, we always take River Road down to L’Auberge and we live in Saint Gabriel so we just take Nicholson down, but we pass Bluebonnet on the way home. Traffic can get backed up but it usually doesn’t get too bad.

I drive Burbank/Bluebonnet after each game. It takes about 30 minutes to get to I-10 at Bluebonnet.

Wherever the cops let you leave from your lot and just head towards bluebonnet. Once you get out of contra flow there isn’t really much traffic anywhere

Park on north east side of campus around Kirby smith. Leave game heading north down highland and cut over to Washington st on-ramp. Once on interstate home free.

Old 9 can get you Burbank to Bluebonnet pretty easily too.

Easiest route is River Road to Gardere then Nicholson to Bluebonnet.

You can do RR to Bluebonnet easy if you park in the right spot.

Park somewhere from Parker Ag Center to down S. Stadium pay lots and exit out S.Stadium to Stanford to I-10. You will be to Bluebonnet in 20 min from when you get to your car. If you get routed anywhere off of S. Stadium you are fricked.

This is the only answer. You will be on bluebonnet in less than 15 mins from when you start the car. I haven’t finished the post game show in years. Always been home in less than 40 minutes from 0:00 on the game clock, which includes walking to the truck.

This takes about 15 minutes. Absolute best answer. I give this advice to anyone trying to get on 10-E after a game.

Spot on. I park by Burger King, those lots, the crappy apts complex where you pay the mayne $25 or whatever if the free spots are taken. At any rate, park around there, that side, breeze down Highland, hell I go downtown, take Gov't back into town, don't even frick with the interstate. Take Gov't back to Jefferson/Corporate and on from there. Like you said, 15 min. You can get to Lake Charles faster than parking around Walk On's /Baseball area and out on Burbank etc.

River Road backs up bad at Lauberge.
I would park on the north side, get on I-10 at the ramp by Howard St, and take I-10 to Bluebonnet.

River road to Lauberge, do the round abouts to cross back over the train tracks, take a right onto highway 30 (Nicholson). Bluebonnet is the first light you’ll see driving south from there—it’s not a very far. Take left and you are set.

A helicopter would be your best option. If that's not available, catch the contra-flow on Stanford/Acadian to the interstate then off at Bluebonnet. (There is talk that contraflow may not happen again this year. Haven't had it for the two covid seasons but next season should be back to normal flow. You'll have to check as we get closer.)
