Actually made my living in the O&G industry. Then realized our utility infrastructure is in complete shambles and saw an opportunity to profit from it, it's called capitalism.

That’s the exact opposite of capitalism, my friend.

You’re a hypocrite getting rich of the corruption you despise. No wonder you love Russia.

I support Russia because I want the US to stay out of bull shite like this. Ukraine winning would only ensure politicians keep manufacturing conflicts and laundering money all over the world. We have a million problems here, imagine if that effort was dedicated to fixing our crumbling infrastructure or crime in our cities.

Very compelling spiel. I bet it’s a big hit at your local DSA chapter meeting. are you for free college and universal free pre-k too?

I can tell it took 30 seconds because neither one of them mention "fighting communism."

You know, what you actually claimed.

Hint- communism isn't an antonym for democracy so "fighting for democracy" doesn't automatically imply "fighting against communism." In this case the fight is against despotism

I'll let you know when that money actually comes around. No, the money allocated to upgrading our water infrastructure won't be nearly enough.

One of the biggest is that many on the American right-wing have prioritized cultural power over conservatism and freedom. Right-wing authoritarianism has replaced freedom as the guiding principle.

Instead of wanting a small government that would leave people alone (conservatism), much of the Right just wants to own the libs.

And the opposition in this thread to supporting Ukraine just shows that decay in American values at its fullest.

So the issue is that the 7.1T of spending didn't go to the issues you wanted it to and so your crying about 20B to Ukraine.

You sound like a sky screamer.

You have succinctly stated my position on the current state of the GOP and its so/so support of Ukraine. Well said.

What? Are you fricking kidding me? The American Right have prioritized cultural power? What a craptastic take.

The American Right is the only group that is questioning never ending war now that Liberals have given up.

Our bastion of Democracy is the one during the Obama years that undermined the Democratically elected government of Ukraine to put in place our own puppet to replace Russias. Then in fall of 2021 Biden stupidly announced during a press conference at the WH with Zhelinsky has desire to welcome Ukraine to NATO. Something the media papers over consistently.

We are now sending dump trucks of cash to a country as historically corrupt as Nigeria after our very actions created this conflict. A nation where our President and his crack head son were arse deep in influence peddling Then about a year later we are bankrolling a shooting war with a nuclear power.

Yet the OT patriots see nothing but defending democracy and righteousness with Ukraine and this needless war. Poland was next! Remember Munich! Defend Democracy!

This thing is about as legitimate as the Gulf of Tonkin Crisis and you lemming keep lapping up the government and media narrative. Good lord.

How dare I not want your kids to drink water supplied by pipes like this, this is a hell of lot more harmful to Americans than Russia ever has. Are you actually insinuating that the infrastructure bill funding was allocated in a reasonable & beneficial manner?

I am against our current foreign policy, the money spent in Ukraine is a drop in the bucket compared to the money wasted in Iraq & Afghanistan. We will get there though, given the overwhelming public support from folks like y'all.
