They probably know Ukraine is telling civilians to leave also. It makes sense that the less civilians, the better for Ukraine to bombard the occupying Russian forces. Bring in the artillery before charging straight on.

BKR posted a link but basically (at least in Germany) the Catholics were afraid of also being persecuted as some priests were dying communion to SS persons. So the Church struck a deal that was basically we won't do anything against you so long as you don't do anything against us.

Well if you've been following his logic
1) on board with US support because if Russia succeeded then China would invade Taiwan
2) after Russia stalled (which he believes has delayed the Taiwan invasion by at least 5 years), he wants to pull all US support because it could lead to nuclear war
3) somehow pulling all of our support will not only NOT embolden China to just deal with short term consequences but will also lessen the likelihood of China invading Taiwan long term.

Most things I've seen have been about bridge repairs and Kherson calling for evacuation. Haven't seen much coverage beyond that

Belarusian sources are saying Luka has ordered "covert" mobilization and that only rural communities will report first but not the larger cities. we have regressed full fricking circle since WW1. Instead of drive by in planes with the pilot practically shooting out the equivelent of a window......we have fights between quadcopters. Things we would almost consider toys are not being used in the most hotly contested war in the last 30 years
