That's how supply and demand works. Huge demand for a limited product. Those prices you see are on the secondary market. It's not the NFL charging that so they would literally have no control of it unless they started some draconian policy that you can't resell your tickets.

This is because that many people want to go and are willing to pay. It’s supply and demand. Same reason an Uber home from the bar last night was triple the normal price if you didn’t want to wait forever.
