Water-filled gas cans Canadian “Freedom Convoy”

Water-filled gas cans are being used by “Freedom Convoy” protesters as part of a cat-and mouse game with police.
Police revealed that demonstrators were trying to subvert officers by filling jerry cans with water, or just leaving them empty.
“It does provide a layer of logistical complexity for us,” said Steve Bell, Ottawa deputy police chief. He says a quarter of blockaded truckers have children with them.

As the enforcement arm of a governmental entity, it is almost impossible for the police to be “on the right side”.
If the police reform movement had not been hijacked by racist causes back during Obama’s administration, we may have actually moved beyond this and implemented some reasonable changes, but now it will never happen.

That's just it. This would be a protest every liberal would love; they're just on the wrong side of rights.
I've already noticed the 'ratcheting' up of BBC, NPR, local Canadian press reports of 'Mother lost Trucker son to Covid, wants trucking protest to stop', 'This isn't a protest, it's an occupation!', 'Truckers smell bad and preventing me from getting my Starbucks' (I kid on this one).
If we were the left, we'd have everyone calling these law enforcement officers 'storm troopers' and Nazi's. Bringing them peace flowers and offering free oral sex to anyone who crosses the line.
It's funny how they are enforcing 'no-honk' and the legality of bringing fuel to 'a small fringe element'. It also give me no hope when a real war between the two sides breaks out.
