Who owes the largest percentage of their paycheck to Burrow?

Ed O? Gave him the appearance of a national title coach and the paycheck that goes along with that.
Joe Brady? Made him look like an offensive savant which he parlayed into a NFL OC position after just one season as a college assistant.
Edwards Helaire? I love the guy but first round draft pick at RB? Those running lanes were due to the threat of the pass and CEH took advantage. He's a good back but not sure he's worth first round money

Honestly most people were shocked when clyde went in the first.
He should've been a late 2nd pick.

Burrow owes Brady hugely
Or potentially the other way around

One is playing in the super bowl
The other just got fired and had to take a demotion

Probably Ed, he got paid paid to all but run the program into the ground.
Could make an argument for Brady too.
Don't appreciate the shot at CEH though, it is a team sport.

Not a shot. He was a great back in 2019 and a great fit for that offense led by Burrow. But at the end of the day he is still 5'7" and 200 lbs whose draft was based entirely on his 2019 season behind a generational QB. To throw first round money at RB that size and expect them to play 17 game seasons for multiple years is pretty shocking.

I don't think CEH was a 1st rounder but defintely deserved to be drafted.
Brady shot up way faster (NFL OC) than normal. He might owe some of that to Burrow.
The right answer though is Ed O.

I don't disagree with the idea he probably wasn't a first round back. Probably more of a mid 2nd round guy, but I don't get paid to evaluate draft picks.
He had over 2,000 all purpose yards and 17 touchdowns that year. He played his way into a position where people were willing to take a risk on him. He also had to go through the entire interview process with these organizations. Joe wasn't around for that.
I think to take credit away from him for that is doing him a disservice. Also, KC hasn't really done a great job scheme wise to get the most out of him and he has been banged up.

Yeah CEH no longer plays for a passing threat
CEH probably wouldn't have normally been a 1st rounder. But the Chiefs were already a super bowl winner and were just looking for weapons, not trying to build a base to build around. It was the perfect situation for him to get drafted that high. I doubt they have any regrets

He went in the first because Mahomes wanted a rb that could catch and was quick. Mahomes is the reason he got picked

O. Look at how he did without him.

He was drafted with the last pick in the first round
I could see if he was in the top half of the draft how it would be more questionable

Why no mention of Zac Taylor? Not saying he’s a bad coach but look at what Burrow has done to every other coach. Makes them look way better than they actually are.
