I never had an issue with Peetz besides when they designed a play that would have Max Johnson running to his right. It was clear he had no idea how to throw while running to his right. It’s already an awkward throw and on top of that Max couldn’t figure out how to throw it and not take a sack.

Once he stopped with those plays I was fine with him. I genuinely believe max was the main issue. He wasn’t accurate nor did he have the arm. You have to have at least one of those things and he had neither. I wasn’t happy with him being named the starter once Myles broke his arm. I knew from watching him how weird his throwing motion was and how weak his arm was from 2020 but he did have 3 solid games so I was like how bad could it be. But woof was it bad. Nearly any qb can put up his stats if you’re throwing 40 times a game. LSU threw more than 35 times in a game once from like 2010-2018. Before burrow and before we updated our offense we never threw that much. So his stats are padded because of that. I think peetz was decent but got forked by the transfers, injuries and meddling.

I’m a lsu fan. That’s all I am. But I can offer my opinion, which I don’t believe is an incorrect one or rash one. It’s silly to have a 5 ?? CB transfer when he’s starting every game. It’s not really what the portal was created for. It’s created for kids who won’t be playing. It wasn’t created so agents and nil guys could manipulate a young guy. I’m not screaming from the rooftops because ricks left but I am disappointed because in my mind it’s a misuse of the portal. You don’t see much info about the 1000+ kids that went into the portal and didn’t end up going anywhere. There’s a forked up side to it and I think it definitely has a negative impact but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an upside too.

Who cares how Bama fans feel. They didn’t go out and get him, the coaches or whoever did. Plus you know they love this so seeing posts like this just makes them relish in it. Bama is just the Yankees or dodgers of CFB. Ricks was soft. We will be fine without him. I just hope a miracle happens and he doesn’t win a natty and loses to us and we win it lol. Ricks always only cared about money and hard to blame him but I’d rather be rid of a dude like that than keep him. You don’t want a guy sticking around that doesn’t buy in or believe.
