Life hack #64920: park next to the cart return barn. When you’re done taking all your bags out you won’t have very far to walk to return it.

If I see one on my way in, I pull it back and leave it by the front of the store even if I do not need one that trip.

Someone I know from Boston calls it a carriage. Only person I ever heard call it that. Buggy or cart in my experience.

I'm more peeved by the person who can't park IN the parking spot. They either stop 4ft short leaving the arse end of the vehicle in aisle/lane, pull in on top of the line or even over it essentially taking up two spots, pull all the way through the spot and 3ft into another spot or a combination of any of the above. THOSE people make me smh in disgust more than the lazy cart folks.
Sometimes I wish I had a pack of stickers that say "Great Job Parking" that I can stick to their window.

I usually religiously do. At Walgreens I even go back into the store.
Though at my local Walmart they removed all the cart corrals in the front half the lot. So that the distance to the corrals is just crazy far if you park near to the front. As such at Wal Mart and because I had to check out and want to not further take anyone's jobs. I don't return the carts. I put them behind whatever person nearest me parked over the line.

You want us to stock the shelves as well while we're shopping?

One of the first things my parents taught me when learning to drive was ALWAYS park by the shopping cart return, not the front door. Holy shite its just great advice.

Sorry but if my kids are with me, I'm not leaving them in the car just to put a buggy away halfway across the parking lot. 1 or 2 spots over, sure I'll do it. But in this day and age there's no chance I'm leaving my kids unattended in a car, whether it's locked, unlocked, off, or on. Too much to go wrong.
If I am by myself, I will gladly take the extra walk to put it away, often times all the way back to the store if I am in the first couple of spots.

The shopping cart corral was created, much like the self check out line, to remove employees.
Much like both, some people use it, and some people do not.
There once was a time that these things did not exist called the 1990s. During those times, teenager's were paid minimum wage to retrieve carts (and run the cash register and bag groceries).
Both were bad ideas as you can see as many places have returned to people retrieving carts and few people use the self check out.
Do you also get mad at the mfers who sit in a long line with a few items that do not use the self checkout?
You might want to re-evaluate your life, you clearly do not have enough to worry about.

Those same people probably just bought family packs of Doritos and Lays, halloween size candy packages, oven pizzas, 3 12-packs of soda, no veggies, and complain about how expensive it is to eat healthy.

Well, most of these folks are either obese or morbidly obese, hence the reason why they don't go the extra 30-40 feet to the cart return section at Wal-Mart.

You actually think Biden voters are trainable?

Are we supposed to be training these sorry mfers by calling them out, or just let them go?
lmao you’re not going to say or do a goddamn thing to anybody, tough guy.

I don’t know how this became a leading metric for civilized society, but if not wanting to leave 3 young kids unattended in the car in a dark parking lot while I walk to the nearest cart corral makes me a Philistine, so be it.
If you want to talk about markers of low intelligence and character, perhaps we should start with those who a incapable of navigating a median crossover turn.

Are people who don’t put up carts the same as those who drive the wrong way in parking lots also?
