Crazy.....I guess if Reid isn't gonna score, O'Neals physicality makes him the go to?

Not really. O’Neal has proved himself more. More athletic than Reid

We were down and we needed the spacing

I think it was a good call

Plus he gives some upper class leadership. We had 2 sophs 2 freshmen and O’Neal.

A&M went with a small line up to close the game.

O'Neal has really impressed, especially with short and midrange jumpers. I got down voted before the season suggesting O'Neal (thought to be healthy) should play in front of Reid... and I love Reid too.

Reid is just not ready. He is too soft, no presence down low, turn over and foul prone. O’Neal is a better option right now. He has a better looking shot, more physical and great demeanor on the floor. Reid just has a lost look on his face out there and zero confidence.

Frankly Reid doesn’t yet know how to play basketball. He is extremely gifted but he isn’t good at basketball yet.

He’ll get there. But he’s not there now.

Reid has at least one more year to work on his skills here. He has the size for days but that’s about it. He’s been frustrating to watch lately but he’s young and needs to really find a way to get his shite together.

Reid and Reef can switch roles as far as I'm concerned. Let Reid come off bench for a while. Give us 5 hard fouls and try not to give up any bunnies around the rim.take the pressure off the freshman and save his legs.

I think he’s learning the hard way about Division I basketball.

I hope he develops a strong work ethic in the off season.

I would certainly hope next season, Reid will be the most improved player on the team.

Reef with a huge 3 late in the game too, him playing over Reid in crunch time was a big factor. I like what I’ve seen from him and he seems to be blossoming into a solid player for us.

You should see more of this as season goes on and Oneal gets into more bball shape. he's just more of an offensive threat. Reid really needs to work on his strength. He loses the ball at the slightest bump. got a rebound early in the game and if he just goes back up and slams it he scores. Instead he did the high school power dribble before he slams and the small guard bats the ball away. basic fundamentals. the 7 footer doesn't bring the ball down when you rebound near the rim.

Let's relax now. I remember how shitty Skylar Mays looked his freshman year and boom Wade transformed him to be one of our best players ever

ONeal played great down the stretch even with that bogus charge

O’Neil is a couple years older and has had multiples of college basketball experience. Both have a lot to do with who plays with ice in his veins in high level competition.

Reid has to stop putting the dsmn ball on the floor do much and just go up strong. Our first possession he got a beautiful pass down low and all he had to was go straight up with it but no he tried to dribble and it got knocked away

If everyone on this team is healthy and focused come tournament time, O’Neal will need to step up as the fourth prong of a great team with any of the four able to take over the game.
