Saban just isn't intensely political it seems, so its hard to label him a true progressive, when one of the hallmarks of a progressive is being involved in every single political issue that exists and making sure everyone knows your opinion on those issues.

Your head coach is a progressive stooge.

Stop defending him.

You wouldn’t defend anyone else for doing this, but he just so happens to be your sports ball coach and that is all that matters.

Simply celebrity/royalty worship.

I can’t believe Saban is going to be the reason I stop watching Alabama football.

Man, you don't know me and you don't know who I would and wouldn't defend. I guess I just won't condemn someone for one political position they express. He signed one letter, it's not like he's got the team buses wrapped up like a Bernie Sanders campaign bus.

You progressives are so into negotiating that y’all want to simply remove the filibuster so you can negotiate even better.

are you under the impression that any negotiation goes on in the Senate?

The filibuster is an anti-democracy relic from the 1800's that the founding fathers would have despised.

that's the subtle, insidious nature of the way the GOP has been running things for the past several decades; it's not about preventing a specific person from voting, it's about making it so they can't all vote.

You close down all but 1 precinct in a pro-Democrat area. No one was denied the right to vote, but anyone who can't wait in line for 8 hours won't vote. It's genius in a way; voting only matters in the aggregate, so you make it as hard as possible for the other side to vote and as easy as possible for your side.

I heard part of an NPR interview this morning and the guest was frustrating (and likely surprising) Steven Innskeep (sp?) because he was saying that what the changes being made in the GOP states simply aren't that big of a deal. Innskeep then pivoted to the GOP relitigating the 2020 election.

It has been the GOP’s pathway to power ever since the Shelby v Holder decision in 2013.

Like all sports people that want to oppose their opinion. They are misinformed and over reaching.

Wrong....I have been voting, in Louisiana for the record,
and have never seen anyone have a problem voting.
Now, if you live in a part of a town that is mis-managed by local government, and the lines are long, that's your decision to live in a shithole town run by incompetent officials.

Funny how all the long lines and so called voting barriers are in the big BLUE cities!

100% false. No one has ever waited 8 hours that wanted to vote and was eligible to vote.

If you don't like voting on election day then request a vote by mail. It's legal in every state and has been and will continue to be. Everything you typed out is a lie.

Who closed them down? Please provide specifics and links to the Republicans shutting down all but 1 precinct in pro-Dem areas. It would seem that the longest lines are in large cities, which in turn are typically run by Democrat's. But let's blame the Repubs.
