Biggest HS ref frickery you’ve seen?

Here’s the scenario. Chalmette leads Kennedy 58-55 with 6 seconds left…
Kennedy dude gets fouled going for a game tying 3. 3 free throws with 2.2 left.
He makes the first… makes the second… makes the third… or he would have… but the ref calls a lane violation!
They had to make a traveling call on us to give them one final heave at the basket… it misses and Chalmette wins 58-57… I don’t blame their coach if they never play down here again.
Anything worse y’all seen?

Football game at Gueydan, about 26 flags on us and the only time we ever had a player thrown out of game
SEC basketball refs would be proud

Well was it a lane violation or not? Maybe it was a legit call.
If they were really trying to screw the losing team, they wouldn’t have called the foul or the travel.

They would not have called the travel. Travelling, in this situation, helps the losing team get another possession.

Well, if it was a lane violation, it's the right call. What are you so mad about, following the rules?

Lane violation on the final free throw attempt is fairly common especially in high school or grade school that they can’t enter the lane before the ball hits the rim. Not sure what your rule is there though.

Evangel @ Hoover. Hoover receiver drops pass in endzone late in game to win. Yes, you read that right. Worse than the Jabar Gaffney "TD" vs Tennessee, which wasn't even close.

State water polo tournament in San Antonio. Won't bore everyone with the details but that was the only time young PTJ had told an adult to frick themselves and I decided to make it a 2 for 1 special walking back along the pool deck.
Also the only time in 18 years/6 sports my dad felt the need to say something to an official. His was much more cordial

If they were trying to keep them from winning why would they chance giving them an and 1 on a 3 for the lead?

State championship mais girls basketball. The team the girls are playing have won like 40 state bball titles. Leading by 3, they release their final shot a good .5 seconds after the buzzer and backboard light go off.
Refs count it. Won't look at video, even though they were supposed to, and the host team (who they were playing) is supposed to have an official camera for just such occasion. Girls get beat in OT.
There was an awful out of bounds ruling when I was a young buck in the football state semis that I still hear about quite frequently. The old timers say there was 5 yards between him and the line. In 20 years, he'll be in the middle of the field im sure

And I hate when it’s called in that situation because it’s a call that you could have made on any FT in the whole game
Yes even when it helped my team. I felt bad for those kids.

Biggest I have ever seen. Mid 80's Ponchatoula @ Bogalusa about 3 seconds left Bogalusa kicks a FG that is about 3 feet wide and they call it good for the win.
Biggest I ever heard of is documented in my freshman year book where they had a ton of the history of PHS in it. 1970 AA state championship basketball game Ponchatoula vs. Pineville. Late in the game Ponchy All-State Forward Mark Kolwe is at the line for a 1 & 1. He makes the first shot and Pineville grabs the ball inbounds it and throws it down the court for a layup and they count it and call a technical on the PHS coach. Pineville wins 63-59

2021 West Monroe @ Zachary in the quarterfinals. Cost Ponchatoula the state championship since we would've beaten West Monroe or Destrehan.

Playing against a Doug Williams coached team on Doug Williams field where the head ref was Doug’s brother.
Northeast was likely winning anyway but that sealed it.

I see you also let your frustration out in the youtube comment section

West Monroe was robbed of this game and in turn Ponchatoula was robbed of our first state title in 81 years. We would've beaten West Monroe or Destrehan.
I did see some questionable calls on a fumble, and then what looked like a goalline fumble and a 2 pt conversion attempt.
Was there anything else that was bad?

There should have been an appeal process for this. That's a misapplied rule, not a judgement call.

The Rummel Holy Cross Game this year...
They gave HC an extra third down... Rummel stopped them but they flagged Nick Monica and Rummel 15 yards for arguing the situation giving HC a first down.
Called a Rummel KO return about 50 yards back to the Rummel 30 saying the guy's knee was down. Official called it from the endzone thirty yards behind him, where in no way he could see if his knee was down, which it wasn't.
HC deep man called fair catch on a punt, but another HC player received it and ran to the Rummel 35. They finally threw the flag for illegal ball advancement but took the yardage back from where the guy was tackled instead of where he received the ball.
It was the worst officiating at a HS game I've ever seen... So bad, they didn't even wait for security to escort them out the stadium, they just ran out taking their officiating shirts off...
