They should have the resources to be patient too. The economics have changed tremendously too since the days when the team wrote attendance quotas into the lease. If the next TV deal goes like they expect, local revenue may not even matter for profitability. It will be a far cry from the Shinn era where you needed playoff revenue to make money.

The Pelicans will be in New Orleans as long as the Benson Empire wants them to be here. If they sell the team it won't be because it's losing money.

Yes here we are. Wasting the 3rd generational player in 15 years. No one goes to games & you can’t even watch them on tv. Ownership is completely crap & rudderless

CORRECTION: Zion is wasting his 'so-called' generational talent all by himself.

mean but even to this moment the FO and a good chunk of the fanbase all seems gung ho to chase the play-in by making buyer moves.

Zion being worthless has really screeed things up. You can’t just be a loser forever.

Zion will be the next Anthony Bennett. It’s sad to say but it’s true.

It is still mind boggling how the Pels went from gloom and doom to extreme optimism in the span of a couple months (Feb - May’22) and then to be the second seed in the West on 12/6/22.

That is crazy! The 2021/22 Pels were basically the plot of the original Major League movie

My best friend is a die hard Bulls fan.

Just a couple of days ago I mentioned to him to think of the vibes around the Pels 20 games into last season and the vibes around the Bulls at the same time. And now compare that to the same 2 teams 20 games into this season...I think his reply was something along the lines of, "frick you"

It's always worth remembering how wrong Lester and Chad were about our ownership and front office.

Tacky Sweater’s numerous “worthless” comments to describe Zion seem off base these days.

We were 97-129 under griffin coming into this season. On his 3rd HC, Kira NAW Hayes Bledsoe Adams etc

Not sure 23 games erased all the bad just yet

Yeah, your opinion on this has consistently been in line with Lester's and Chad's. Thanks for the reminder.

Link?

Bc you constantly pumped NAW and Hayes and we told you they sucked?

I’ve praised many of the moves as they happened. Was on Ingram when everyone else was melting after the trade. Been on Zion when everyone was shitting on him. Called Herb’s success when he was drafted. Contended McCollum was the best move this org made. Have all the bookmarks, mainly bc there were a lot of idiotic takes.
